It is Wednesday, so I think it is a good time. Happy Thanksgiving to you all. I hope you all enjoy your turkey, or whatever it is Vegetarians eat instead. Tofurkey? Anyways, enjoy it! I hope you all have a good time!

Yep. I'm grateful that I live in a country where I can complain, bicker, and debate with a bunch of people without being taken out back and shot for disagreeing. Happy Thanksgiving! Unless you're Native American...then I'm sorry.

I never realized that Star Wars was at its core a retelling of the Festivus legend, complete with feats of strength and airing of grievances between father and son. And what is a lightsaber if not a Festivus pole? And what is Yoda if not George Costanza? Short, bald, worked for an evil empire (Galactic, Yankee), enjoys living in squalor (Dagobah, Summer of George), replaced by CGI in later episodes. It all tracks!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I forgot how much I love coming home for this holiday. Not only do I get to enjoy delicious a Thursday feast, but I also get to have all the delicious foods I grew up on and can't get in Atlanta. HAPPY, HAPPY WEEK.

Mother-in-law doing all the cooking. I'd feel a little guilty except she loves it. She started planning it in October.
She won't have to do any cleanup though. Even if we have to tie her to a chair.

Happy Thanksgiving, Everyone!
I'm surprised I haven't seen a recipe thread for thanksgiving. Or did I miss it?

I have a recipe for Thanksgiving and any other major holiday that puts my entire family in the same room at one time.

I find this makes it tolerable and friendlier.
You're welcome.

Ahahaha. Thank goodness my entire family will not be present tomorrow. Otherwise I'd agree with you 100%.

Another Thanksgiving with just my boyfriend and I, I kind of wish I lived close enough to spend the holidays with my parents. They're hilarious. I also lost the challenge this year so its apple pie instead of eggnog pie (though secretly I'm just gonna say screw it and make them both!).
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Brits label the US: http://www.buzzfeed.com/robinedds/its-thanksgiving-so-we-asked-some-brits-to-label-the-us-stat
Some of the answers are pretty funny.
No, this isn't off topic...it mentions Thanksgiving!

Some of them did pretty good. Better than I can do labeling their counties.

I liked "Squarsie" and "nobody cares" and the dude that labeled the Nevada desert as "Aliens"

What's mildly disturbing is that most of them got Texas right.

Guns, red necks, the largest "southern" state, Houston, cowboys, cowboy boots and hats, everyone should know where Texas is.

Largest state in CONUS. I wouldn't call it Southern though. Texas is pretty much... Texas.
Everytime I ever traveled abroad, people would ask where I was from in the US, and they add on, "Texas, Los Angeles, New York?"

lol @ the person who named the largest state, Alaska, as one of the smallest, Hawaii.

omg, someone pointed out there is a video at the bottom of the link I posted. Fucking hilarious. One dude wasn't quite sure whether the American president pardons or ritually sacrifices a turkey for Thanksgiving. I totally think that tradition should be changed to a ritual sacrifice. Televised slaughter, what's not to love about that.
