So, I sent an e-mail to ESPN because I was drunk and I didn't like something the announcer said on one of the games..


I don't know who is announcing, otherwise I would have selected the personalities topic.

I think the announcers need a little more training on what is and what is not targeting and why the penalties exist as they do. One comment was something along the line of the announcer not understanding why the penalty still exists when the player is ruled to to not be guilty of targeting when the automatic ejection appeal goes to the booth. I'd like to point out that the NCAA, rightly, does not want the booth deciding when or when not a penalty is assessed, that is decided on the field and it remains a personal foul. Another comment is that the NCAA does not define what is the head or neck. Well, no, I don't think they have to. I am pretty certain a simple anatomy class will tell you what is the head or neck area. I look to ESPN for game coverage, and generally I can learn things from the announcers, and I like that. Keep it up.

And they responded today. It is pretty canned, but it actually looks like that read my junk.

I decided to look up GSU. It is an FCS team, but I think it is a little bit more respectable then it seems. They will be a full FBS team next year and in the Sunbelt. Still, Florida is having a shit season. But, for GSU, it is a nice exit from the FCS and entrance into the FBS.
