So I just got some cable set up.... And WTF, it doesn't come with ESPNU and of course, you can't just buy ONE channel, you have to buy this whole stupid package. There is a sports package, but it doesn't have ESPNU in it, it has ESPN Goal line. I don't want Goal Line, I want ESPNU. If I upgrade to get ESPNU it will include an additional 80 channels. I don't want or need 4 channels of SOAPS and Lifetime and all that crap. Fucking BS cable company setup.

Netflix doesn't have ESPNU, and I don't think piratebay shows live football games?

Eventually, we'll be able to buy monthly subscriptions per channel on the internet directly from all the providers, bypassing the cable companies completely. Probably when we get hoverboards.

Actually there is a very good chance that your cable company isn't responsible for forcing you to take the additional 8 million channels with just the one that you want. When your ISP contacts the provider and requests a popular channel, generally the provider also requires the ISP to offer the other less popular channels in their lineup as well.

Oh, yeah. I understand that. Obviously they no that nobody would normally order Mtv 4 or whatever the hell, so they have to add it to a package to sell it.
