Winston has it if FSU continues to roll.

Assuming it comes out before voting that it was consensual sex, then Winston gets it. Otherwise, Manziel. If the case is still up in the air, I think Winston loses it due to the lingering doubt.

Jameis will, although Manziel is more deserving in terms of his contribution to his team's success. Texas A&M is a 5 or 4 win program in the SEC without Manziel. FSU still makes it to a BCS bowl without Jameis. They literally don't have a weakness on that team. Their defense is as nasty as I've seen in recent memory, including Bama the last few years.

Heard on the radio coming home from work that the accuser went to the hospital in did a rape kit the night of the incident. I don't think this is going away any time soon and they can't give the Heisman to a possible rapist. I can't see them giving it to Manziel back to back either though I agree that he's the best player in college football. Most impact player for sure.
Why isn't McCarron getting any heisman love? He seems like a shoe in for the trophy and he's running an offense that could compete in the NFL.

McCarron isn't in the top 10 in even a single significant offensive stat. Yes, his team is undefeated, but in terms of Heisman performances, he's nothing more than a reliable starting QB. He's ranked number 12 in passer rating, with Winston and Manziel coming in at 2 and 3 respectively. Plus, they both have more TDs, yards, yards per attempt, etc.
And I completely agree about Winston. If this doesn't blow over prior to voting, this trial will all but certainly destroy his Heisman hopes. Even if he's later acquitted, if it is in any way unsettled prior to voting, I think the shadow of doubt will be enough to sway nearly every voter.

McCarron plays in a system with the best players in the league. Don't get me wrong, He's an excellent player but not the best in the country. Put McCarron on TA&M and he won't put up the numbers like Johnny Football. It reminds me of Bama's only Heisman winner Mark Ingram: Very good player but if he wasn't on bama he wouldn't have won the award. I mean Ben Tate was on Auburn that year on a worse team and better rushing stats. Look in pro's Tate is a way better back then Ingram, not sure Ingram even plays much. Same with McCarron .. it's not hard to play QB when you have all the time in the world to throw the ball. He still makes great plays but you could put any of 15 college qb's on Bama and they would have the same numbers or better.

Petty and Mariota are both making a great case for the heisman. Between the two of them they have 49 TD's with 1 INT (Petty). I need to watch more college football. This is going to get interesting.

McCarron is a pocket passer running a pro-style offense. He has a very good arm and makes good decisions with the football. He's got a lot of game tape against top-tier defenses and there are no obvious issues with his game. I question whether he has the drive to be a Manning-tier QB, but he could easily be Tom Brady in the NFL.

No college football team can compete in the NFL. The Atlanta Falcons would crush Bama, OSU, FSU, whoever with ease.
That being said, I favor AJ McCarron this year. I favored Manziel last year.

He doesn't have to be the best QB in Football... "The outstanding college football player whose performance best exhibits the pursuit of excellence with integrity. Winners epitomize great ability combined with dillegence, perseverance, and hard work." I personally feel he exhibits those qualities, especially with how well Bama does. I know it isn't all him, as no team that is successful can be based on one player.
As it is, he is ranked #9 out of all QBs in the FBS Div I-A. I imagine Winston will get it though.

McRapey is still in the running. I will be dumbfounded if they give it to him though. The voters aren't exactly completely objective and who wants to give the heissman to a guy who's got this sexual assault hanging over his head. I'm hearing conflicting reports about the charges. Some are saying that they will be dropped because the accuser can't give enough details. She did report the assault an hour after it happened and she was, at that time, still covered in Winston semen.
They ought to just give it to B. Miller.

How can a guy rape a girl.. with the girl on top?
Calling him a rapist is McStupid. (I also think you have your QBs mixed up.. derp, derp)
Reminds me of the Duke Lacross bullshit.. with people of your ilk convicting them before the case was even made. And even with a completely corrupt DA, it still was found that they were all innocent.
Hey.. guess who just got sent to jail for murder? Yea, the accuser in that case.

Dumb Quote of the Day "How can you rape a girl if she's on top?" Is that the new defense. "Well your honor, I know she was super drunk, but she wasn't so drunk that I couldn't balance her on my cock."

No charges dumbass... and one of the key pieces of evidence was a video of her on top, riding his groin.. obviously not in any duress or in the act of rape. But I get it... you see a black man and you immediately think he's guilty of a crime.
And the Dumb QotD was you calling "Winston" McRapey.. because you are easily confused with another QB... McCarron.
Either that or you are confusing him with your McDonalds Happy Meal.

Jameis will win.
It is just as irresponsible for you to assume he did it, when you have seen zero evidence to support that claim, than it would be for you to be accused and your wife leave you on the grounds you were accused but innocent.

Jameis can have all the Heismans in the world as far as I'm concerned if he loses to Duke this weekend. And MSU beats OSU. I'd love to see another All SEC BCS National Championship.

He could still be an amazing QB during the game and the team lose.
Wishful thinking though, I don't think Duke has a chance unless it turns into a basketball game.

Winston's only real competition at this point is Jordan Lynch, and if last years bowl game is any indicator, even EJ Manuel is better than he. Lynch is a very good player on a crappy team in a crappy league. Put any other quality D1 quarterback into that schedule and he will be equally as successful, if not more. Every other legitimate contender faltered over the last few weeks. And yeah, Winston has one more game to go before votes are due, so if he blows on Saturday, he could easily bury his chances. Also, there will be people who don't vote for him because of the case, so who knows. I doubt it will be enough to derail his chance to win, but it could happen.

Fsu is going to crush duke and MSU will not be beating OSU.
I hope I'm wrong on MSU, being a lifelong fan, but I don't see them stopping miller and Hyde. I don't think MSU has the offense to hang with OSU.
One last note, I was glad to see Winston wasn't charged. The whole thing smelled dirty. The chick kept changing her story. Would've ruined a 19 year old superstars life. I mean, and I say this with no offense to rape victims out there, but what 18 year old football stud has to rape a 240 lb chick? Doesn't compute.
College football is better for him not being charged.

It's definitely a scary proposition. Can U. Meyer (edit) go 26-0 in his first two seasons? The Bucks are like the Broncos; a little weak on D and M. State is ranked 9 right? They have a team.

FSU is going to wax Duke and MSU will win by 4, which will set up an FSU v. Auburn/Mizzou MNC.
I predict the entire FSU team will be charged with rape after the BCS, especially if Auburn wins the SEC. Put 9 in the box, isolate Joyner and Williams on the WRs, and watch Auburn average less than 2 per carry against the best defense in CFB over the last 10 years.

Actually, another Scenario is that MSU beats OSU, Mizzou beats Auburn, but Bama barely edges Mizzou out on points in the BCS rankings and it becomes Bama vs FSU.
