error: SpellRanks.load: dump format error(0x9)

This little guy is making a serious mess of things. Anyone know what it's all about?

Nevermind, easy fix.

since your issue is solved I'll hijack your thread. Keep getting this on login and get immediately booted, and have to do the old log in through the website, then log back in through lich. getting really annoying

You are set up to store stuff locally?

no but I don't want to be

It really wasn't an issue on older versions

Try setting it locally in SF and log in. I think that is what fixed it for me. I then was able to set it back to store it on the server.

Tillmen added a login message now that tells people to store locally or it was there for a while.

I'll give it a shot, thanks :)

If you don't want to store things locally, you might be able to just get rid of some Stormfront scripts. The problem comes from sending all your Stormfront settings to the Simu server in one big long line. When the line is too long, the game disconnects you, similar to how the game disconnects you if you spam it. For some reason that I haven't been able to figure out, the game has a problem when Lich sends this line, but not when Stormfront does, even though Lich is reading the line from Stormfront and passing it on to the game without modifying it. Getting rid of some Stormfront scripts that you probably shouldn't be using anyway may reduce the size of the line enough to keep you from getting disconnected, but then again the problem with just come back later as you add more highlights and macros and stuff.

Great, now say what the fix is so when someone encounters this problem, they know what the solution is.

still happening whenever ">uploading settings" doesn't happen.

I'm not sure what you mean by that, but Stormfront doesn't tell you when it's uploading settings.

no it is part of the lich messaging when I log in

I'm not aware of any reason Lich would say ">uploading settings".

well, on this account either Lich or Stormfront is because it's on all my recent successful login logs. But actually it is only showing when I successfully log in with Lich, but not when I successfully log in through the website.

Was it just saving settings locally that solved this? currently getting this error "error: SpellRanks.load: dump format error(0x13)"

I can get in game after a fresh install of ruby/lich but if I don't ;kill lnet it just hangs. Updater works, infomon workin, go2 and all other scripts working except lnet. Not getting the "error: SpellRanks.load" thing but I looked and thats cause there is no spellranks.dat to load now, maybe thats why lnet is just hanging and eating up processor cycles? I dunno, any help would be appreciated, kinda done dealing with it for today.
