Which one are you choosing? Or are you a baller and you go with both?

I chose Xbox one for titanfall. Always been a ps guy, but titanfall looks to be a good reason to have the xbox.

For the first time since, uh, the Atari 2600, I'm not interested in the next-gen console. Can't justify the money to play Madden, which is probably 80-90% of what I've played the last ten years. However, if I were going to buy one, I'd get the PS4 just because I don't like what Microsoft was trying to do with the XBox. Normally would prefer the XBox, but fuck that shit.

As a player in the secondary market for games, I'll go ps4 eventually. Screw Xbox and their "all games r belonging to us" plan. Never had a PS, and always loved Halo. Oh well. Bye bye game nazi's at Microsoft.

I have a PS4 arriving soon, so yeah...

Last gen I actually preferred the Xbox (I have both a 360 and PS3), but Microsoft's shenanigans earlier this year really made me leery of their plans for their system, even if they've gone back on most of it.

But titanfall.....

It's also on PC, if you can stomach Origin.

People just haven't learned enough from the first Red Ring of Death... Keep your box handy so you can get ready to ship your new Xbox back after 100 hours.

I'll probably end up buying both at some point down the road, but at the moment I'm more excited about the One. Especially since PSN is essentially now a you-must-subscribe-to-enjoy-it service like Xbox Live is, which I already pay for. Here's hoping the PS4 doesn't suffer from the massive updating headaches that PS3 does, and app installation headaches.

Still have my release date 360. Plan on getting a new 360 after the final price drop for when it dies. No backwards compatibility on the new system bites.

I don't plan on buying either anytime soon. Not enough of the type of games I play on them to justify it.

I play RPG's, and Tactics style games. Only FPS I play is Halo for the story. Wish those mother fuckers would just release Halo on computer within a realistic time frame.

I'll eventually have both, but the PS4 first. I'll probably pick up an XBox One in about a year or so, whenever they have the first price drop.

If I was going to choose one though, it would be PS4.

I'll get a PS4 eventually once it has actual games to play that aren't just PS3 ports.

There are already reports of PS4s overheating and blowing up, so that'll be another reason to wait a while before getting one.

If I were to get an XBox the only reason right now would be for Killer Instinct. And maybe Titanfall, even though I know nothing about it other than everyone is masturbating all over themselves over it, so I'll assume it's a good game for now.

Overall I'm surprisingly filled with not give a fuck about the next gen right now though, and am quite content in Los Santos.

Neither of the new consoles have backwards compatibility. Which sucks.

If titanfall were coming out for ps4 I'd go with ps4. I know it's coming out for PC but I'm not a huge fan of fps on PC. The developers are saying it was made to be played on a console with a controller too. Titanfall looks to be the killer app and it swayed my purchase. Gotta wait a bit however.

I just don't understand this method of thinking from a developer's standpoint. How can anyone go for slow ass analog controllers over a mouse in a shooter? A mouse is better in every way than an analog stick. Otherwise people wouldn't cry about unfair advantages when it comes to allowing both in a shooter.

Which reminds me...has there been any official word on if PS4 or XBOne will offer true mouse support? I'm guessing they aren't doing it again, which is really fucking stupid. I guess they're just too worried about 12 year old CoD campers rage quitting over getting pwned by a mouse and refusing to adapt to its superior controls.

Not really backward compatibility! The $10 "upgrade" is just a discounted digital download of the game. You don't use your PS3 game disc or anything.

I don't really see a problem with it. They could have easily just said "If you want it on PS4 and own it on PS3, buy it at full price again." I think it is the game companies themselves offering the deal though, and not Sony.. Because the same upgrade deal exists for Xbox One aswell on Battlefield 4.

Why has there been no uproar over that bullshit?

Because if we're taking an honest look at things, backwards compatibility has been the exception, not the rule, when it comes to consoles.

You couldn't play NES games on the SNES. You couldn't play Genesis games on the Saturn. The only time you could do it was between PS1/PS2, or with certain gimmicks like the Gamecube/Gameboy relationship. Don't get me wrong, it sucks that I cant bust out Syphon Filter on my PS4, but it's not a huge deal really. There are always emulators. Plus, apparently PS4 will be able to stream PS3 and earlier games via an online service not yet implemented (other systems are currently doing similar things).

Gelston
11-15-2013, 08:30 PM
You could on PS2/PS3 for the first gen PS3. They later put out a patch that stopped that though.

Yep, pretty sure my mouse will smoke any console controller.

There is a big advantage of mouse/keyboard over controller in fps games but..... I've always just felt more comfortable playing fps games with a controller.

I'm gonna go with an Xbox One, no real reason. I usually only own one of the consoles at a time, and I haven't felt any real inclination to switch back to Sony since the PS1. Backwards compatibility would be one of those things that I would be like "Sweet!" at first, but in the long run would I really care if I didn't have it? Not really.

I can't understand people that prefer FPS's on controllers. I know someone that bought Ghosts for PC and uses a controller. Just boggles my mind.

As for backwards compatibility... it's ultimately kinda silly for a company to offer it. The PS3 that had it, cost 100 more then the ones without. Why, cause that was the cost of the PS2. 99% of the people that want it for their new system, already HAVE the old system. I don't know about you guys, but I got 5 HDMI ports on my TV, I am SURE I can fit both a PS4 and a PS3. Sticking a PS3 title into a PS4 doesn't make the game look better, so no big deal to me.

Personally, I'll be going PC for my next gen gaming. The only thing I use my current PS3 for is streaming netflix etc. The wife will pop in a legos game every few months and try to finish them so at this rate, we'll still be playing legos games for the next 15 years. I'm pretty much a FPS retard so anything more difficult than Borderlands 2 in terms of aiming isn't going to work for me. I try to avoid MS products when I can so xbone would be behind PS4 if I ever did get a console. The PS4 has upset me as well since it won't do DNLA streaming, ie, no watching your own AVIs or listening to your own music.

So.... yeah.

Sorta.

"In a roundtable conversation with journalists, President of Sony’s Worldwide Studios noted that PS3 games of both the retail and downloadable variety will not be compatible with PlayStation 4, at least not natively. In other words, your PS3 discs won’t work in the new console nor will the games you downloaded.

There’s a catch, though: emulation. The PlayStation 3 doesn’t read PlayStation 2 discs (at least not anymore), but it can play PS2 games via the PlayStation Store in an emulated environment. Yoshida concedes that this is possible for PlayStation 4 supporting legacy PlayStation consoles as well. Indeed, the Gaikai presentation during PlayStation 4’s reveal touched on this “everything, everywhere” mentality. But for now, downloaded PS3 games won’t work “unless, somehow, some games work on emulation. And the easiest thing, technically, would be to make PSone games work on PS4 with emulation. But we’re not talking about our emulation plans as yet.”

In short, “There are two ways [to play legacy content]: emulation or cloud services [from Gaikai]. But native support [of digital games from PS3], no, sorry. It doesn’t work.”

Basically, the service isn't up yet and will take a little time.

I'll buy my PS4 after the first of the year when the price comes down, there are more games, and after all the glitches have been worked out.

Stock in Sony has gone up $2 this past week from Monday at around $16.50 to Friday around $18.50. What would be nice to see is it recovering back to it's $20+ high of the past year by January next year.

The Steambox looks to be a big hit too in regards to PC gaming/gamers.

Not sure how I feel about it, since I think all in all I still prefer PC gaming over console...Not just because of the more control I feel i get over mouse and keyboard, but for the larger graphics and scale of most ported games. Not to mention MOST console games still make their way to the PC....Titanfall for example is one game I really was pondering buying an Xbox one over, but I still second guess that idea since I've always been a PC gamer at heart and still prefer streaming with a PC over Consoles.

Consoles and streaming are too limited, unless of course you are streaming via a dedicated PC with the console. But when it comes to the internal twitch support by both new consoles, I'm not excited impressed by the capability and quality of streams they can do. Which was one thing I was waiting on being a streamer myself from before.

Too Long Didn't Read version, I think I'll just can my Xbox One idea and stick to a new PC

Found this on Amazon comments. Pretty nice breakdown of the PS4 vs the Xbox 1.

Ok to start out, before the word's "fanboy" and "troll" get thrown around, I'm going to state my sources at the bottom of this. Everything that I will be comparing is going to be FACT (weather you what to believe it or not).

So let's start with the innards...

CPU >>
Xbox One = 8-core 64-bit x86 "custom" AMD CPU (rumored as a Jaguar AMD) @ 1.6GHz
PS4 = 8-core 64-bit x86 AMD CPU @ 1.6GHz

Winner = Here (not knowing enough on Xbox's CPU), we have a wash. Both get a point.

GPU>>
Xbox One = Is being compared to the Radeon HD 7790 (32MB eSRAM Embedded Memory, 102GB/s Embedded Memory Bandwidth, and 1.23 TFLOPS Peak Shader Throughput)
PS4 = is being compared to the Radeon 7870 (32 MB eSRAM Embedded Memory, 176GB/s Embedded Memory Bandwidth, and 1.84 TFLOPS Peak Shader Throughput)

Winner = PS4 is going to have to win here.

RAM>>
Xbox One = 8GB DDR3 RAM
PS4 = 8 GB GDDR5 RAM

Winner = PS4... Same amount of RAM, but GDDR5 is very noticeably faster.

Disk Drive>>
Xbox One = 6x Blu-ray player, 8x DVD player
PS4 = 6x Blu-ray player, 8x DVD player

Winner = Same thing... means a tie

Hard Drive>>
Xbox One = One SKU... 500GB Hard Drive... Non-removable... BUT, you can add by USB External Drive
PS4 = One SKU... 500GB Hard Drive... BUT it is removable, and can be upgraded

Winner = Both can be upgraded... so it's a tie

..............
Let's now look at accessories...

Controller>>
Xbox One = If it's not broke, don't fix it. Microsoft took what was good, and made it better. Rumble in the triggers (AWESOME!). Better D-pad (AWESOME!). More grip to sticks. Still uses AA Batteries?
PS4 = Not changing too much, but added a lot of new features... You get the Glow light indicator, which is apparently using Move tech. There's a touch pad in the middle. There's a speaker. There's a jack for a headset. Better Triggers. Better sticks.

Winner = This is probably the hardest to rank... there's no "clear" winner. I personally like the PS3 Controller over 360 (but that's just me). I REALLY like Microsoft's approach to the controller. I love the rumble triggers lol. But, I think PS4's controller could have HUGE potential. I think this comes down to personal preference... so I will give both a point

Camera>>
Xbox One = We get Kinect 2.0... This thing is high tech! 1920 x 1080 x 16 bbp 16:9 YUY2 @ 30fps (1080p). 4 mic array, senses your heat, see's in the dark, and can read your pulse by just looking at you! Also a 70degree Horizontal by 60degree Vertical Field of view.
PS4 = The Playstation 4 Eye... Not all the bells, and whistles. 1280 x 800 pixel x 2 @ 60fps. 85degree Field of view. & a 4 channel microphone array. PLUS you have to spend an extra $60 if you want one.

Winner = It's nice that the PS Eye can do 60fps (but not 1080p though). And the larger Field of View seems nice, but PS4's Eye is more of a nice webcam... Xbox's is, well... Kinect 2.0. The things it can do is actually impressive (but will people use it lol). But still... check a point for Xbox One

.............
Let's talk about Features

DRM>>
Xbox One = Microsoft's DRM is in the form of codes, a required internet connection. The games will basically only be licensed to the buyer, and all games will be in digital form so that Microsoft can keep track of them.
PS4 = No DRM of any kind. When you buy a game... you OWN the game *edit* it has been confirmed that publishers can use the same DRM that is on PS3/360 games right now (ie Online Passes). So their is 'some' DRM

Winner = PS4 (may still have online passes, but still better than Microsoft's choice)

Used Games>>
Xbox One = Games can be sold to "participating" retailers (ie, probably like Bestbuy, and Gamestop... "maybe Amazon"). So used games can't be sold through services like Ebay and Craigslist. The "but" is... BUT, it's all up to the publisher if you can sell it to Gamestop. So if EA says you can't sell Madden to Gamestop, you can't sell it. So only "some" games can be sold used, and there's a LOT of hoops to jump though if you do.
PS4 = Used games are perfectly fine... you buy a game you can sell it, trade it, let someone borrow it, do whatever you want with it... after all, it's YOUR game

Winner = PS4

Connectivity>>
Xbox One>> Must be connected to the internet at least every 24 hours... every 1 hour if your signed in on a friend's console. Basically this means that it is "required" that you have internet connection in order to use the system.
PS4 = You want to play a single player game on a boat in the middle of the ocean... go right ahead. NO online is ever required

Winner = PS4

Game Recording>>
Xbox One = Has "game DVR"... not sure how long it records for, but you can take your recording, use software to edit it, and post on Twitch.
PS4 = It is always recording the last 15 minutes of game play. You can then take that content, edit it, and post it on youtube, Facebook, or Ustream.

Winner = Due to no real full knowledge of these 2 different ways of recording, it's hard to choice one without hands on time... so we'll give it a tie

Online Service>>
Xbox One = we have Live... and now Live is taking a page out PS Plus's book, and are now offering free games every month. But... Live is still required to play any online game.
PS4 = we have PS Plus... in my humble opinion, is a way better deal than Live. BUT now is required for online play on the PS4

Winner = If Sony wouldn't have made PS Plus required for online play, I would have gave it to PS4... but now, it's a tie.

Extra Features>>
Xbox One = Has Smartglass to use for an extra screen, and use for some cool features. "Smart match" actually sounds REALLY cool. No Microsoft Points! 1000 friend lists. And don't forget about TV, TV, TV, TV, Sports, Sports, Sports, Sports! Say what you want, a lot of the features there are really cool. (I would never use them, but they "are" pretty cool).
PS4 = Sony made sure to say... HEY, we have movies, and music, Netflix, Hulu, and Flixster too! Also, you'll be able to get payperview events on PS4. Sony also has some sort of "plan" for Sony movies on the PS4, but don't know much. Sony also has the Vita. The Vita may be expensive *crosses fingers for a price drop soon*, but it's really an amazing handheld (would recommend to any gamer). You will be able to play ALL your PS4 games on your Vita via Remote Play (Similar to the Wii U and it's tablet controller). And the Vita can be used much like Microsofts smart glass as well.

Winner = PS4 and Xbox One have a lot of the same features. Sony says Movies/Music... Microsoft says TV/Sports!.... That said, the features on Xbox, do seem kind of cool. With not knowing Sony's "plan", and to use Sony's biggest features requires the purchase of a $250 device (verse a smart phone, which many already have)... I think I will say Xbox wins this one for now

.............
Let's look at games
This is hard to monitor as a winner/non-winner... so I'm going to go based off who's got more exclusives and more new IP's... only way I can think of to compare
This is as of me posting this... their may be more on either console announced throughout the week, but I can't see into the future.

Indie Games>>
Xbox One = They talked about how indies are sooo important, and then what do they show? Minecraft?!?! Then, moved on... are you serious? From everything I've seen, Microsoft doesn't care about Indies in the slightest. Plus, Indie developers CAN'T self publish.
PS4 = During first reveal... They brought out Jonathan Blow! Enough said. But they didn't stop there. During E3, they brought out a DOZEN indie developers including Supergiant Games with Transistor... and Outlast!!!! (so excited to play that on console!)... PLUS Indie developers CAN self publish.

Winner = PS4... They are pushing on this, and desirably so... Since the competition doesn't care.

Exclusive Titles>>
Xbox One = 19 ( 4 of which are Kinect games) (Microsoft said 15 exclusives planed)
PS4 = 26 (Sony said 40 exclusives planed... but I think they were referring to PS3/PS4/Vita)

Winner = PS4

Exclusive "New" IP's>>
Xbox One = 9 ( 1 of which in a Kinect game)
PS4 = 17

Winner = PS4... (To be fair, I included Indie titles. Some may not consider these "games", but considering that The Walking Dead & Journey took away most of the Game of the Year's last year... I figured it made sense) ... (If you don't consider Indie's as games, Microsoft DOES have more AAA exclusives announced so far, and feel free to change the points)
..............
For fun, I won't include these... but let's talk about the Games. Just because someone has more exclusives, doesn't necessarily mean that they are "better". This is a thing of preference... so it's hard to judge.
Sure, everyone is going to have their specific franchise that they love (ie Uncharted, Halo, Killzone, Gears of War, ect)... but let's look at some surprising exclusives for the consoles from the E3 conferences today

Xbox One>>>>>
Sunset Overdrive... This was the BIGGEST shock for me. Insomniac's next game is exclusive to Xbox One? WOW! Might have to be my most interested Xbox One new IP.
Ryse... Not sold, but color me intrigued. Doesn't seem to be a kinect only game anymore, which is a plus.
Killer Instinct... meh for me (but I'm sure "YAY!" for some)
Project Spark... Microsoft's answer to LittleBigPlanet. I could easily see this being much larger than LittleBIgPlanet, and I think everyone should keep an eye on it.
Deadrising 3... I was honestly very impressed with this, and also super surprised it's an exclusive. Looks like they might have got rid of all the crap I hated in the other 2.
Titanfall... Probably the biggest third party Exclusive so far this generation by far... there's a lot of pressure on Respawn's shoulders. "I" was fairly impressed. But only time will tell on how well it will do.

PS4>>>>>
Outlast... YAY!!! extremely happy to hear about this!
The Order 1886... I was extremely underwelmed with the trailer for this
The Dark Sorcerer... Graphics look AMAZING! BUT, I'd really like to see real gameplay.
Final Fantasy Verses (now 15)... I was upset with this. Final Fantasy is an RPG, not an action game. It does look quite epic, but I don't like this being a numbered inclusion to the Final Fantasy franchise. (now confirmed for Xbox One as well)
Kingdom Hearts 3... I about had a heart attack from yelling, and jumping around when I heard this. For me, this announcement was EPIC! (Now confirmed for Xbox One as well)
Beyond Two Souls... ok... I know, I know... It's a PS3 game. But the more I see, the more I want this game! Looks mind blowingly good!

I know i said in the beginning about people's personal games... but I want to give a humble shout out to Killzone, and infamous... both looked amazing during E3.

..............
I would do looks.... But honestly, that's a perspective thing, so it's hard to rate with facts (personal opinion... I'd say PS4 by a hair. Not really impressed with either really). So...

Now the Biggy... Price

Price>>
Xbox One = $499
PS4 = $399

Obvious Winner = PS4

................
WINNER IS>>>

Xbox One = 8
PS4 = 16

It just seems PS4 is the better console (so far) this generation. This is all based of what we know... But what actually happens, and what sells the most?
I guess that'll be left up to the consumers :-)

I'm gonna have to side with computer people for this generation. While we will continue to see console surpass computers in terms of tech specs and graphics capabilities (I'll go into that in a minute), computers will still win out on their features, flexibility, and overall utility which make up for the tradeoffs in excess.

What? Tech Specs?
The next generation of consoles, per Back's post, the CPU and GPUs are fairly impressive and comparable to upper-mid tier computer components. But, lets think about the architecture of a computer versus a console for a moment.

When you're coding for a computer, what OS is the market running? What CPU chipset do they have? What GPU do they have? What GPU Drivers are they running? What OS/GPU interface are they running?

There's a lot of layers when coding for computers. You lose a marginal amount of potential with each of these layer of inefficiency. One layer for DirectX, one layer for AMD versus Intel, another layer for Windows 7 versus Vista versus Vista SP1, versus 8, versus 8.1, versus Linux, versus Mac.

This also requires additional configurations to the end users to compensate for their variable devices. So now you need to code for multiple resolutions, multiple texture qualities, etc.

Whereas if you're coding for an Xbox or PS4, you know you're getting the exact same CPU, GPU, Middlewear version, TV output, etc. You don't need to code for those variables. It's simple!

But, that argument makes you seem partial towards Consoles, why are you going with a Computer?
A) Multi-tasking.
When I'm playing a game, even an FPS like Battlefield 4... I'm not just playing Battlefield 4... I also usually have gemstone up, or a window for Youtube. Or I'm pulling up comparative stats on BF4 guns to min-max my loadouts to win moar.

B) Games Selection
There are no shortage of computer games... ever. I mean hell, you can pick up a steam indie pack of like, 40000 games for $2. Especially with the upcoming Christmas Sale, where I'm sure most comp gamers end up picking up at least a few things.

C) Cost
My Computer is a sunk cost. I already own it. Sure, I could upgrade, but I don't HAVE to, because even if my computer is aged, it's not as bad as the average systems that Steam releases on it's hardware surveys. For that reason, I know that developers will still code games that my computer will be able to handle, because the market that they are trying to code to has a comp at least 1 year older than mine. I'm only sporting a quad core, 6G DDR, I can deal with 30 additional second of load time for a BF4 map, because I can spend that time configuring bigshot for a low level alt.

Tl;DR: There's enough games out there for the computer to keep me busy indefinitely, so I don't see a reason to spend money on another way to spend money on games. Hell, even just Gemstone is enough to keep me busy.

I pretty much always have both, though for certain games I prefer one over the other. For any RPG or FPS, I prefer a computer. For games like racers and sports games (like Madden) I will take consoles.

Your observations on computers is correct, it is harder to program for the literally millions of different setups people have, as opposed to consoles which is only one per type. Something you didn't quite hit, and this is something that happens every time, when consoles hit the market they are equal to a upper/midtier computer, sure. They drop quick, however. The last XBox 360 game made was at the specs of a mid tier computer 5 years ago. Computers will always be more powerful.

Another reason for computers over consoles in most situations.... Game modifications.

Yeah that's nothing new. Sony does a bit of that themselves.

I ended up getting both systems. The xbox will arrive Friday. I'm loving the ps4 though. Resogun is my favorite game that I've played. Wasn't a huge fan of ghosts on the ps4. I enjoy that and battlefield a lot more on the PC. I think I'm done with fps on consoles and sticking with PC's for them. Titanfall I'm going to try on Xbox one and see how it is.

Went to Best Buy to pick up a PS4 tonight. Sold out. Plenty of XBOX Ones around. So I went to Target. They had four from what I could see in a locked glass case. Ghosts was sold out so I got Krank. Ghosts is available on-line so no worries there. Played Krank for the intro level and I like it. Reminds me of the kind of classic games that came with the old consoles like Super Mario, and Zelda.

It was easy to set up. A short download patch for the OS. Very serene OS though I wish it had more customization to it apart from being able to turn to music or action sounds off and on. Navigation makes sense and is improved.

Happy to see that my previous movie purchases on the PS3 were available. At least... the ones that were still on my PS3's hardrive. I had deleted a couple to make room for some downloads but they are not available on my PS4.

Paid $50 for the Playstation Plus one year subscription. Downloading Warframe and DC Universe Online from that. Not a lot of choices right now as the system is so new. Good to see movie sales and rentals are current. Lone Ranger rental at $4.99 the same as iTunes.

The web browser sucks as bad as the PS3's did. There are movie, music, and television apps available, like Netflix and Hulu, but they all cost money to use. At least the Playstation Store is still the same where you can buy/rent all of that plus games in one area.

The controller does feel a little better than the previous version. Haven't seen all of it's bells and whistles yet. Did not by the camera though I think I will from seeing some of the demos of what it can do.

The console itself is pretty slick I have to say. Nice design.

As a longtime PS customer I am not amazed. Rather, slightly disappointed because I am not amazed. Nothing ground breaking, nothing spectacular, some of the old suckiness carried over, all for more money out of pocket further down the road.

My advice for anyone thinking about buying... wait to buy a PS4 until you absolutely have to. All the new games right now are available on PS3. There is no real reason to have a PS4 right now.

There aren't any real killer games for either console right now. Forza is fantastic for XB1, Resogun for PS4, both have Ghosts and Battlefield...

The next two killer games coming out that I'm excited for are Titanfall which is XB1 and Dark Souls II for PS3. Pretty sure both systems are getting MGS5.

The more I think about it the more I feel like these next gen consoles are bullshit.

I'm still buying games on discs? I have to switch discs to play different games? I can't use a keyboard, mouse, and my choice of web browser? The console itself takes up way too much space. Why not SSDs? Cloud?

Yeah, the games look great in HD, but take some of the clumsiness out of operating one.

You can download a lot of the games for ps4 and xb1. I downloaded CoD, FIFA, forza, etc.

This is true and a great feature. But at some point the HD is going to get full. Why not do away with discs and HDs altogether and just cloud this stuff. Leave the power of the machine for graphics.

I noticed for Ryse it required like 40 Gigs and NBA 2k14 it took 60... the HD is 500 gigs... And this isn't downloading games, it is buying them and having to install them.

Injusticr was a 20 gig install for the disc version.

I'm pretty much never going to buy a game off the store that's also available on disc because I'm going to run out of drive space.

You can still swap out the drives like on PS3 at least.

On another note, watching drunk people stream themselves acting stupid on UPlay is hilarious. Sometimes. And if there is a female on one, The whole chat room instantly becomes a crowd of eighth-graders.

Once you buy a game its saved to your profile so you can delete and redownload later if you are the type that cycles between games.

I bought a ps4 at launch but returned it because the wifi on the systems (all of them) has a serious flaw. The ps3's old g-band wireless gets WAY better signal strength and bandwidth than the ps4. I wasn't sure if it was fixable with a software update or if it was a hardware issue so i jumped ship before my return window closed. I will wait for them to address the issue before buying another unit, and I certainly won't be getting an xbox one instead. I'd rather wait.

I noticed that as well with the wireless strength but solved the issue by running an ethernet cable down through the wall from my router to my console. Easy enough to fix.

Yeah I just get bent outta shape when electronics don't work properly, so I figured I just send it back and buy it later after its fixed and more games have come out.

l prefer to play with a hardwired connection anyway. I pay for the faster internet so there is no reason to slow it down further by counting on the wireless connection, even if it worked as intended.
