Warning: Some of the following graphic photos may distress the reader.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) is an organization that publicly claims to represent the best interest of animals -- indeed their "ethical treatment." Yet approximately 2,000 animals pass through PETA's front door every year and very few make it out alive. The vast majority -- 96 percent in 2011 -- exit the facility out the back door after they have been killed, when Pet Cremation Services of Tidewater stops by on their regular visits to pick up their remains. Between these visits, the bodies are stored in the giant walk-in freezer PETA installed for this very purpose. It is a freezer that cost $9,370 and, like the company which incinerates the bodies of PETA's victims, was paid for with the donations of animal lovers who could never have imagined that the money they donated to help animals would be used to end their lives instead. In fact, in the last 11 years, PETA has killed 29,426 dogs, cats, rabbits, and other domestic animals.

Oh yeah. I heard this a long time ago. They kill more animals than shelters and keep deep freezers full of bodies. The vice president of PETA is also a diabetic. She uses insulin. Insulin was developed through animal testing. She knows this. When confronted, she said "It is necessary that I live so that I can advocate for them" or something like that. PETA is a lot of hypocrites. I love animals. I love my dogs, I love my fish, I loved my hamsters, gerbils, and guinea pigs. PETA is just too fucking crazy for me.

I prefer to support the ASPCA.

All I got out of this thread so far is that Gelston owns gerbils.

I don't know why that makes me laugh but it does.

I have never supported PETA's objectives nor their methods. But I have to admit, this article comes as a surprise. Wow.

Clearly the world would be a better place if this organization would simply dissolve and become just a bad memory.

*Owned* gerbils, like 20 years ago.

Was that to me? Because I didn't say that, I said I'd get them out even though I hate the fucking demon creatures.

I prefer to imagine you romping with your little tiny furry friends in the present. And that's what I'm going to do.

Oh, also, don't forget. PETA has funded ELF and ALF, two groups recognized by the FBI as domestic terrorism groups.

I do have a Pomeranian currently, I suppose that is close enough. I often chase her around the house pretending to be a T-Rex.

While I know this and you know this...

I would love to see something resembling evidence other than PETA leadership mentioning both ALF and ELF in favorable terms a very long time ago.

There was a case file on the FBI website. It is gone now, unfortunately.

PETA straight up says they did in this article. http://cnsnews.com/news/article/peta-under-attack-funding-alleged-eco-terrorists Though they say it wasn't for any illegal activities. Still, if you give money to al-Qaeda and say it isn't for illegal activities, is that a good excuse?

I give Al Qaeda money for all of their great humanitarian causes, but not to fund terror. It's for the children.

Wait... ALF was a Muslim?

That was a comparison. I wasn't intending for it to be taken as me claiming that ALF/ELF are al-Qaeda.

No, I know he was talking about the creature/TV show. I just didn't want it to be taken as me inferring those organizations as being al-Qaeda related.
