I had an Uncle I never met who died in WWII. He was a crazy beat painter. His works are on display at my mom’s house, his littlest sister. My grandma once told me she did not believe what the Army told her about his death in France.
Regardless, he gave up the beat scene to fight. So, I’ll be in bittersweet contemplation of him, and those who served over the three-day weekend. You know those beers will be a'tippin. :)
Going to say here again that I think Iraq is unjust, and the perpetrators of it should be tried by the global community. That will only happen if the people who elected them realize what a mistake, among many, that this administration has made. The voice of the people, those they supposedly serve, those who actually make this country run, can bring about this change.
But enough of all that. Three day weekend. Getting paid, and gelin like Magellan!
