I had thought that awhile back there was a change made when dealing with enhancive items and weaponry, but I couldn't find the post. Krakiipedia has it listed that you DO lose charges when moving weapons around. Do you still risk losing charges on an enhancive weapon or shield when you wear and remove them? The biggest problem being when you have to wear a shield or stow a weapon to skin a creature, and then bring it back out. If you're skinning 20 or 30 critters in a hunt, that's a lot of risk for losing charges. Anyone know? Thanks!

I distinctly recall but can't cite a post or anything that weapons and shields have a chance to lose a charge when you get them, but have a much lower chance to do so than a worn enhancive when it's worn, precisely because you'd be expected to get a weapon/shield more often than wear an enhancive item.

Yeah, that's what I thought as well, but I haven't been able to pull up any old posts on the matter. I feel like with two fusion weapons out all the time, and the constant stowing for skinning and looting, that at least one of the items is going to lose charges super fast if there isn't some sort of exception.

I think they removed the chance that a charge would drop when removing worn enhancives because you might take it off to charge it and cause it to crumble (which would be lame). Since weapons and shields are always non-crumbly, I wouldn't expect there to be a similar effect.
