Dual Wielding Edged

Currently I toss about two shortswords but Im thinking of looking for some nice daggers to replace them, anyone currently using two daggers with some good success?

Id assume two smaller weapons would find their goal a bit more often but obviously a lower AvD, any other pro's con's someone would like to enlighten me on?

I used two daggers very well on Plane 1 for a level or so before I got bored and switched training. I think Drektor uses two daggers pretty well in OTF and Plane 5.

Rapiers are overlooked a lot as a weapon, but they puncture (good eye crits) and are a bit faster than short swords.

Well good to know its a viable plan, Im just trying to get as much of my gear down to 1lb as possible is the main reason Im dropping from shorts to daggers.
