Not sure if anyone else ever bothered to test it, but I found that Mongoose procs will activate while under the effects of Berserking, and with 0 RT.

I was curious about some of the stances and which one I may want to pick up for my warrior, and narrowed it down mostly to Mongoose or Griffin's Voice. Before I decided on one, I thought it be interesting to test Mongoose and see if it did in fact activate while berserking, and it did with none of the added RT.

My guy is a newb, with no parry mastery and such so my testing is limited, but I thought I'd share in case no one really tried this build/stance with berserk.

I went with griffins voice initially while mastering warcries and ended up staying with rank 2 at 60 trains. Voice is so cheap and can provide a reliable benefit whereas mongoose can be a double edged sword. Berserking with a THW and max parry mastery is the ideal situation for mongoose since it ignores all RT but its after your zerk ends or in normal hunting conditions the extra rt could lead to death. If you could drop mongoose when in hard RT it would be brilliant. Also, there is a bug where your attack will display an error message in certain situations

Yeah, I read up some of the issues others had when stances came out and they did testing. I'm not entirely sure i'll be sticking with mongoose because my concern like others, is being put into RT when not zerking and just swinging away. The only upside to it is that it won't activate on stances below Forward.

I'll have to see how I like it in regards to Griffin's voice and being able to upkeep shouts more often, since these two were stances I was debating over myself.

I looked into this for my warrior as well and decided to pick it up(as well as GV). One thing I noticed is that there should always be a 1 second opportunity to get out of whatever you are doing. Mongoose maxes out at 1 swing every 3 seconds with a 2 sec RT. I havent had a chance to play around with it too much yet though.

Description: This is a Martial Stance. If you successfully parry an attack while in a forward or greater stance, you will launch an automatic retaliatory strike at -2 RT. The chance to make this strike is 50/75/100% at ranks 1/2/3, and such strikes are limited to one every (6 - Rank) seconds.

-2 RT, means if you swing at 5 seconds it would be 3 seconds, and being able to preform one every 3 seconds has the potential to keep you in RT. I'd never use mongoose because in a couple of places where I hunt just having it activate once can suck some serious balls.

Could pick up one rank for a measly two cman points and 50% proc rate and only use it while berserking. Then stance <blah> to swap over to your regular one.

ah I misread that as a 2 sec rt vs the 3 sec timer.
