A quick summary - A woman gets into a fight with her date on valentines day. She runs over him with her car, twice, crushing him. All the time under the influence of alcohol.

She then offers the police officer $5000 and sex if he lets her go.

The procsecution dropped the murder charge in exchange for aggrivated vehicular homicide.

She's getting 11 years.

Is it me or does anyone else think that if it were a guy killing a woman - he would get 40+, life, or the death penalty?

If it was a guy, he would have been crucified. and charged with sexually harassing a policewoman.

Women shouldn't get off easier for a crime. You do it, you blew it.

We live in a society where people charged with drug crimes are receiving longer sentences than those charged with murder.
She shouldn't receive a lighter sentence because she's a woman however, these instances are not rare and not surprising.

Haha, I love it how she was driving under the influence... and met the guy at an AA meeting.

That's ridiculous. A life is worth far more than 11 years. Bad call!
