Wow. Not very often you see a team dump a high (3rd overall) first round draft pick after one year.

They must be deploying the Major League strategy of getting the fuck out of Cleveland (Home of the Steamer).

he didnt fit with the coaches style, which is apparently to continue the browns pattern of absolutely sucking ass

Joe Banner probably wants to run more of the Andy Reid style of offense that he was used to in Philly. Bring in a smaller guy thats closer to the scat back than the workhorse runner.

It doesn't. Should be interesting this week. Brian Hoyer and the no-name backfield (except McGahee, but not sure what kind of action he'll see right away. Did he play last year anywhere?) oughta sound real swell to Brownie fans.
"The moment presented itself based on the situation the Colts found themselves in," Banner told reporters shortly after the trade was announced. "It wasn't something we could say, 'Can you wait three weeks and let us think about this or learn more?' We had to decide whether we thought it was a move that would make us better, and we had to make that decision now. We decided to move forward."
"This really has nothing to do with Trent from that standpoint," the first-year coach said. "The opportunity as an organization was there for us to have the chance to get better ultimately. We felt like it was the right decision after all."
Banner seconded that thought.
"This wasn't something negative about Trent, as much as it was the value that we think we got in terms of what we feel we need to do to move the franchise forward and get it to where we want it to be," he said. "We thought this positioned us well to do that."
In other words, the Browns felt they might want some extra draft capital in case they need to trade up for a QB next year cause their QB situation fuckin blows (Weeden, Hoyer, and Jason Campbell) and RBs aren't winning a lot of games for teams these days.

But now you might be able to get Johnny Foosball! (I don't keep up with college, so it's entirely possible he's not going to be part of the draft process next year)
