Don't you love when you try to download a song on Kazaa just to have it either be 32 minutes long of static and clicks, go four seconds into the song until it screeches, or have it simply not play at all?

Movies are worse. I downloaded a copy of Thirteen which has this horrible lime green tint throughout the entire movie, and a copy of Memento where the audio is about 3 seconds behind the rest of the movie.

First year in college I was downloading a 730 MB file that I thought was Fellowship of the Rings.

It turned out to be several hours of midget porn bloopers. I haven't been the same since those horrific 5 seconds.

How is this a GemStone complaint?

Especially if you donate five bucks. For 35 days, you get first priority over people who didn't donate..shooting you to the top of a queue.

Five bucks = a shitload of albums.

Oh sorry! I just saw the Title "Nuisances and Annoyances" and figured this was one, I forgot it was in the actual gemstone folder.

I was trying to download Joss Stone - You lost me and Jamie Cullums - All at sea and nothing is working!

It's way too easy to download it for free. I don't have to drive anywhere, download special software (other than kazaa light), or go through the process of ripping CDs so that I can listen to a nice big playlist.

Use IRC.

One of the first and still the best.

Now if someone was really great at computers they'd take this video and somehow record the song and send me the mp3 of the song!

You know, I listened to Joss Stone's album, and none of the songs struck me as even mildly acceptable except for the White Stripes cover (which is pretty cool except for the way it abuses the guitar riff).

That being said, I had that happen to me with an Avril song. It was like 9 minutes long, but only the first 30 seconds were an actual song (not the one named, of course) and then Winamp just skipped to the next song. The real question is why do people share these files? It's patently obvious they're not listening to them for the aesthetic value, and it's not like they're doing anything other than delaying the inevitable in terms of piracy.

People confuse me.

Ok update bump!

I was downloading the same song fifty times and not getting anything working. Well after a classmates suggestion I tried using Ares instead of Kazaa. First song I downloaded was perfect. For anyone who's interested, I'd try that one.
