****5 minutes pass****

A cloud of dense silvery fog suddenly appears. The fog quickly dissipates to reveal Faelynna.

Faelynna softly says, "Yep told ye gots boiled."

Faelynna nods.

You quietly say, "Good."

You see Faelynna.
She appears to be a Sylvankind of the Lassaran D'ahranal.
She appears to be very young and shorter than average. She has long-lashed innocent, marbled gold and jade eyes and alabaster skin. She has very long, wavy silver blonde hair with lighter streaks. She has a delicate face and small pointed ears.
She has a winged angel tattoo on her arm, a small rosebud tattoo on her ankle, and a tiny diamond stud in the upper ridge of her right ear.
She has a completely severed left leg, some minor cuts and bruises on her left hand, minor cuts and bruises on her back, a strange case of muscle twitching, and minor bruises about the head.
She is bleeding badly from the left leg.
She is holding a faenor hafted red waraxe in her right hand and a gleaming eonake tower shield in her left hand.
She is wearing an emerald green silk rucksack, a crystal amulet, a silver-chased green damask cloak, an onyx-inlaid brass talisman, some fitted ruby-trimmed leathers, a white velvet harness, a linked crystal rose bracelet, a side-laced pale silver bodice, an emerald green skirt with a silver embroidered hem, some delicately embroidered boots, a silver-traced clear topaz waist-chain, and a gold ring.

He is wearing a pair of black-tinted glasses, some golvern-edged chainmail with a stylized black flame etched on the chest, a shadowy black weapons harness, a scorched leather belt, a shadowy black spidersilk coin pouch, some deathstone soled boots, an elegant gold thumb ring, a rune-etched dark leather armband, a rune-etched dark vaalin armband, a pitch black bandana, a rune-etched veniom locket, a fresh rose, a perfect cherry red rose, a hammered sterling silver medallion, some fingerless leather gloves, a flawless soulstone clasp, an ink-black spidersilk backpack, a frosty rhimar-veined stud, a crystal amulet, some dark spidersilk breeches, a deathstone spiderweb pendant, a gold ring, a black leather hooded cloak, a chiseled blue sapphire buckle, and a spiny black deathstone crown.

Chayy nods to you.

Rosemarie turns to Panndoris and cheers!

You quietly say, "Not likely."

Speaking to you, Panndoris asks, "Wanna bet?"

Panndoris put a wickedly curved falchion in his black weapons harness.

Panndoris tried to drag you, but your group status is closed. Type "GROUP OPEN" to permit yourself to be dragged.

Speaking softly to Jadiana, Faelynna says, "Mama I told em not to."

Panndoris smirks.

Panndoris removes a wickedly curved falchion from in his black weapons harness.

You laugh at Panndoris!

Speaking to you, Panndoris says, "Your just lame."

You laugh at Panndoris!

Jadiana softly says, "I said das enough."

Jadiana flails her arms about.

Panndoris nods to Jadiana.

Ralagar slowly says, "I havent doen anythign yet tho."

Chayy yawns.

You quietly say, "You are an idiot... but then again, you already knew this I imagine."

You smile at Panndoris.

Rosemarie glances at you.

Jadiana pokes Ralagar in the ribs.

Panndoris rolls his eyes.

You roll your eyes.

Speaking to you, Panndoris says, "Watch yer step pal."

Panndoris smiles sweetly at Sithral

Speaking softly to Panndoris, Faelynna asks, "Wish me to drop my sanct?"

Panndoris says, "Those trips hurt."

Panndoris nods to you.

You quietly say, "Watch yourself.. pal."

Jadiana squints at Faelynna.

Panndoris nods to Faelynna.

Ralagar slowly says, "At lest let me do somethign before you say thats enough."

Ralagar removes a silver-edged black rolaren backsword from in his leather weapons harness.

You quietly say, "She asked for her death."

Speaking to you, Panndoris says, "Yeah well.. I'll ask for yours a few times.. see if you shut your lip."

You quietly say, "Because I obliged her wish, do not make me out to be the wrong person."

Vinsant just arrived.

Speaking to his curved falchion, Panndoris asks, "Can we kill him eventually?"

Vinsant just went east.

Panndoris waves a wickedly curved falchion around.

You laugh at Panndoris!

Jadiana sighs.

Panndoris says, "It agrees."

Panndoris nods to you.

Panndoris says, "In time."

Panndoris waves a hand at you, dismissing you indifferently.

Panndoris spits on the ground.

Chayy starts chuckling at you!

You quietly say, "It's going to take more than a fool talking to his blade to kill me."

You smile at Panndoris.

Panndoris snaps his fingers.

Panndoris grins at you.

Rosemarie glances at you.

Panndoris says, "That it will."

You see Panndoris Liftaker the Battlerager.
He appears to be a Sylvankind of the Tyesteron D'ahranal.
He appears to be old and taller than average. He has gold-flecked pale blue eyes and fair skin. He has short, wavy dark blonde hair worn in elaborate braids. He has a thin nose and sharp pointed ears.
He has a deep black deathstone stud in his left eyebrow, a snarling hound tattoo on his leg, a sleeping black dragon tattoo on his leg, an erupting volcano tattoo on his arm, a tattooed symbol of Ivas on his finger, a crossed falchions tattoo on his forearm, and a black chain tattoo on his arm.
He is in good shape.
He is holding a wickedly curved falchion in his right hand and a vultite wall shield in his left hand.

Speaking to Jadiana, Panndoris says, "As you wish."

Panndoris just went west.

Chayy deeply says, "Ya just a pip squeek of a rogue... how cute."

Jadiana squints at Chayy.

Jadiana softly says, "Enough."

Ralagar just went east.

You see Lady Jadiana grewolffe the Mercenary.
She appears to be a Dark Elf.
She appears to be very young. She has sultry jade green eyes and fair skin. She has waist length, thick silver hair. She has a delicate face, a small nose and a generous mouth.
She has a vaalin-swept pale green jade half-ring in the upper ridge of her left ear.
She has minor cuts and bruises on her abdominal area.
She is wearing a peridot studded pewter brooch, a crystal amulet, a spiderweb obsidian band, a silvery rolaren chain hauberk, a twisted leather unity armband, some deathstone ridged combat gloves, an emerald and gold necklace, some fitted black suede breeches, a back-laced tightly fitted bodice, a red jasper amulet, a storm grey glaes spider charm, some thigh-high black leather boots, a finely carved bracelet of ivory roses, a silver etched emerald anklet, a jade and star emerald stickpin, an emerald green greatcloak, an imflass threaded war harness, a delicate gold and pearl waist-chain, a pair of delicate jade earrings, and a gold ring.

You shrug.

Faelynna stands up.

Chayy deeply says, "Oh i aint done nottin yet."

Ralagar just arrived.

Rosemarie whispers, "What train are you?"

Faelynna traces a sign while petitioning the spirits for cognition...

Rosemarie cocks her head at you.

Rosemarie smirks.

Faelynna gestures into the air.
A silvery fog coalesces around Faelynna, obscuring her form. When the fog dissipates, Faelynna is gone.

You quietly whisper to Rosemarie, "Train?"

Chayy deeply says, "He don wan no part ah me."

Rosemarie whispers, "Level, ish."

Chayy deeply says, "I let pann deal eith um."

You quietly whisper to Rosemarie, "Enough I imagine."

You shrug.

Rosemarie whispers, "I'm only 16, for one."

Rosemarie whispers, "And youuuuu?"

Rosemarie takes a moment to observe you.

You quietly whisper to Rosemarie, "I suppose that would be between me and my trainer, no?"

Jadiana softly says, "Ye eard m'Chayy."

Chayy deeply says, "I don hear so well these days."

Rosemarie rolls her eyes.

You stand back up.

Man PB, you sure know how to pick them. Killing Faelynna is seriously a bad idea, I'm just thinking off the top of my head of the people who will be gunning for Sithral now. It's not a short list.

I'm not even defending Faelynna, but why did you kill her? Was there something that preceded this?

Also this is another reason why I love Icemule, I don't care that everyone jumps in the fray, the town has a very nice self-policing mechanism that keeps out 99% of the riff-raff, not saying that Sithral is "the riff-raff" but he's certainly done a hell of a job of making a bad name for himself amongst the residents. If you don't like it, live somewhere else. It doesn't happen in the landing and I'm fairly sure it doesn't happen in the EN, so it's not like you don't have options.

GemStone IV Player Policy: Player vs Player Conflict

There are elements in GemStone IV that promote a competitive environment. GemStone IV has been designed to promote competition as player vs. creature, or player vs. puzzle, and not generally player vs. player.

Some events (such as the Gladiatorial Games), encourage player vs. player combat in a structured setting. Also, some players will choose to role-play a competitive situation between themselves, and will combat each other, which is acceptable. What is not acceptable is to initiate combat against unsuspecting victims, especially to prey upon weaker players for the singular enjoyment of the attacker. As a rule of thumb, Character vs. Character (role-playing -CvC) combat is acceptable, while Player vs. Player (OOC or disruptive - PvP) is not.

There are many gray areas in terms of defining what is acceptable competition, and what is abusive behavior. For example, a pickpocket stealing items or silvers. This *can* be considered an open invitation for CvC, but losing 25 silvers isn't exactly cause for death. Losing large amounts might be though. Another example, the classic duel (Character 1: You have insulted my honor and I must defend that to the death! Character 2: Have at thee Knave!) is on the surface acceptable, but on the other hand saying dueling (Player 1: Wanna duel? Player 2: Yeah) isn't as it can be considered OOC.

In general, Simutronics will not get involved in a conflict confined to a small group of players unless it threatens to overlap to others or cause a generally disruptive influence on the game.

---------------------

I've always said (and never been chastised for practicing it) that as long as you keep it in game then it's not against policy to kill someone, especially if you witnessed the attack. Whoever made up this idea that CvC is ONLY between the attacker and the attackee is somewhat off.

Keep it in game, keep it in character, you aren't gonna get in trouble much less banned.

No, Drew, generally, it's PvP if someone does it without consent. Just what the GM's think of it.

I meteor swarmed randomly. Killed someone. I got warned for Unconsented PvP. Not CvC.. and it was all kept in the game. It doesn't matter what the players think; It's what the GM's think.

Artha

True, but in this case I'm saying that as long as you do it without acting snertish you won't get in trouble. Meteor swarming to kill someone is a great way to get a warning, killing someone who killed a friend is a great way to not get warned. Please read policy 4 that I just posted. Keep it in game, keep it in character (not, "I'm big bad Filswolf and I'm evil, I'll kill you!") and the GMs are not gonna bother you, if you cross the line they will send before you will get warned, you'll know.

I did provoke the attack, I readily admit that. My object was he never left the shadows and I called him a chicken for that. It was in the spirit of roleplay. I will point out that I told my friends outloud several times that I provoked it to let him be. Also I am sorry about the interference if you look you will see it lasted maybe a minute if that. Did it cause anyone to die no. Did it get me arrested such as an ewave which I have seen cast many times in town center did no.

Does Sithral point out I sancted when he started getting attacked on my behalf?
No, if your going to post of a log of events why not post the whole thing.

At any event I roleplayed that, I perhaps was being a moron in the provoking about the dying. But the thing is I really dont care that I died, its just a game.

Anyways as far as I am concerned the matter is done. I will not restore Sithral to life if I see him dead, but hey he hates sylvans, this sylvan does not like smart ass dwarves any more than he likes a smart ass sylvan cleric.

Just so you know.. I don't have an issue with you, your character or anything else. This is in General Gemstone and not any character complaints... that being said though :P

Mass Interference is an annoying spell that is cast upon others. To the player it is annoying screen scroll.. to my character it is an attack. Had I not been afk at the time of this 'attack' you would have had an arrow through your hand right when you did it.

Sithral would consider any help by any sort of elf as self weakness and being raised by an elf would be the ultimate in personal disgust. If he was ever raised by an elf, he would promptly kill himself and decay. Don't worry, he won't be sad you won't help him. ;)

Weird... perhaps she isn't over it:

You put a finely-honed fletching dagger in your brown doeskin doublet.

You remove a vial of bright golden paint from in your leather sack.

You carefully smear a bit of paint on the arrow shaft.
Roundtime: 13 sec.

You put a vial of bright golden paint in your leather sack.

You remove a thin black paintstick from in your shoulder bag.

You carefully apply a band of black paint to the bright golden shaft.
Roundtime: 12 sec.

A bright golden arrow flies out of the shadows toward you!
AS: +371 vs DS: +16 with AvD: +14 + d100 roll: +88 = +457
... and hits for 128 points of damage!
Strike through both ears. You are quite dead!
You return to normal color.
You are no longer moving silently.
The air about you stops shimmering.
You no longer feel so dextrous.

It seems you have died, my friend. Although you cannot do anything, you are keenly aware of what is going on around you...

You mentally give a sigh of relief as you remember that the Goddess Lorminstra owes you a favor.

...departing in 16 mins...

The bright golden arrow sticks in your head!

Thedwar gestures at you.
You feel a tingle on your soul, as if a powerful hand is gently cradling it.

You see Thedwar the Deacon.
He appears to be a Dwarf.
He appears to be in the prime of life and taller than average. He has gold-flecked ale-brown eyes and dusky skin. He has shoulder length, braided coal black hair streaked with silver. He has a weathered face, a hooked nose and a thick mustache and beard.
He is in good shape.
He is holding a glaes-hafted shimmering ora warmace in his right hand and a seal-engraved white vultite mantlet in his left hand.
He is wearing a crystal amulet, an aged brown leather scabbard, a tailored elven longcoat, some dark tanned leather trousers, some fingerless dark leather gloves, a small traveller's satchel, a wide-brimmed black felt hat, a dragonfire opal hatpin, some dark brown leather boots, a braided leather beard clip, an onyx and ivory penguin pin, a pair of dark silver-rimmed spectacles, a sitting black pirate pin, some hunter green double leather, a gold ring, and a sturdy oiled leather pouch.

The voice of Faelynna softly says, "Ye wanted yer arrow returned there ye go tis returned."

You quietly say, "Difference is, my ignorant foolish elven friend.. you've started a war you cannot win."

You quietly say, "You will die every time I see you."

You quietly say, "Get used to laying on your back.. although I suppose you already are."

The voice of Faelynna softly says, "Be my guest, because I can almost promise ye for every time I die, ye will get killed in return."

You quietly say, "We will see."

The voice of Faelynna softly says, "Tis to bad more dwarves are not more like ye, some are just plain dumb."

You quietly say, "Your flattery will not get you off the hook. You will need to remove my boots and suckle on my toes for that."

You hear someone laugh.

The voice of Faelynna softly says, "Silly dwarf I be not worried about ye."

Faelynna waves a hand at you, dismissing you indifferently.

You quietly say, "If a slow painful death does not worry you, then I understand."

Moondo gestures at you.
Moondo suddenly looks very drained.

You feel a sudden jolt of nothing short of the raw power of divine intervention. For some reason, you cannot bring yourself to move quite yet, but feel relieved nonetheless.
You feel the touch of the hand leave your soul.

She has a tiny diamond stud in the upper ridge of her right ear, a small rosebud tattoo on her ankle, and a winged angel tattoo on her arm.
She is in good shape.
She is wearing a gold ring, a delicate smoky topaz neckchain, a crystal amulet, a silver-traced clear topaz waist-chain, some delicately embroidered boots, an emerald green skirt with a silver embroidered hem, a side-laced pale silver bodice, a linked crystal rose bracelet, a white velvet harness, some fitted ruby-trimmed leathers, an onyx-inlaid brass talisman, and a silver-chased green damask cloak.

[Icemule Trace, Town Center]
The bustling town comes together in this square. Halflings dressed in varying fashions stand about, some chattering happily, others reclining on cloaks laid on the ground. One ancient halfling leans against the base of the large ice statue of a mule, snoring blissfully. A feeling of community pervades the area, putting you immediately at ease. You also see a golden brown wolf, an emperor penguin, the earth brown Gabrieal disk, the Faelynna disk, a rolton pelt, a snowshoe hare that is sitting, a wooden arrow and a carved ice bench with some stuff on it.
Also here: Elanteri, Moondo, Kapera, Warpriest, Macdiarmada, Lord Strikerrz, Thedwar who is sitting, Lady Tawnyv, Smoric, Bomboclot who is kneeling, Faelynna who is sitting
Obvious paths: north, east, south, west

You gesture while summoning the spirits of nature to aid you with the Spike Thorn spell...
Your spell is ready.

You gesture at Faelynna.

Dozens of long thorns suddenly grow out from the ground underneath Faelynna! Several of the thorns jab into her!
... hits for 24 points of damage!
... 20 points of damage!
Strike pierces calf!
She is knocked to the ground!
She is stunned!
... hits for 19 points of damage!
... 15 points of damage!
Loud *crack* as Faelynna's sternum breaks!
Cast Roundtime 3 Seconds.

You smile at Faelynna.

You quietly say, "Live."

You stand back up.
Roundtime: 3 sec.

You quietly say, "And know I've allowed it."

[Icemule Trace, East Road]
A pair of guards lean back against the the archway of the bright blue building housing the Icemule Trace branch of the First Elanith Bank. One guard seems to be dozing on his stool, while the other keeps a close and wary eye on the traffic flowing past. You also see an old beer barrel with a tiger-claw on it.
Obvious paths: east, south, west

I'm going to like Icemule.. alot

You see Hammerrhead Crusherson the Warlord.
He appears to be a Giant of the Grot'karesh Clan.
He appears to be young. He has black eyes and sickly yellow skin. He has raggedly cut, tangled black hair. He has a lopsided and slightly deformed face and a missing tooth. He has a large wad of tobacco stuffed in his lower lip.

This face done been shattered enough times. Further shattering will only serve to improve its appearance.

The Grot'karesh are not ugly giantkin Stan. Look at Anticor, he's like a chunk of marble chiselled by the very hand of one of the great masters.

So we should bring in others now? That's probably a poor idea on your part. Sithral though believes you were the archer.. so only you will pay with your life. No worries.. I only hope you realize what you initiated this evening.

I only asked if anyone would be willing to return yer arrow to ye, and it got returned, Like I said Sithral not the brightest of dwarves is he, A cleric archer that would be a nifty thing.

Actually I am perfectly aware, I created something to roleplay with , rather than the same humdrum stuff,

I have nothing against Player / charector well he wanted his arrow returned, as a matter of fact I think it was stated

I better get that arrow back, ye got it back

Adios

Well, whoever did that, assuming it wasn't Faelynna, is a total retard.

You know, theres at least 4 violations that were reportable there, Falgrin. Kudo's for pullin through without report. But if they start to seriously disrupt your RP, then do use report. It is impossible to RP with someone who refuses to RP. Remember that.

A vultite naginata? Isn't that pretty much worthless?

A regular one is already 4x and ebladable.. you certainly can't eblade a vultite one, can you?

Ah, but he did get a murder charge though right? I didn't see the 'townsperson' running around yelling murder.. so I was curious.

If ranged weapons from hiding doesn't bring about a murder charge.. esh, you are in serious trouble ;)

To me replay /warn is over used, it ruins alot of Rp, To many people intiate stuff, then when it gets hot they run screaming harassment, Actually kind of immature. If this role play gets to be to much then at that time I will ask that it be stopped and request the dwarf ignore the sylvan etc. They are so many ways to work out a solution without running whining to the gods. Personally myslef I believe warn/report should only be used in extreme cases, such cases, in which charectors attack the player behind the tune, or in cases where charectors create extreme sexual harrassment towards females. or males, I know for a fact and I am not going to name names, that there are a couple of kids who play who reside in mule town.

I dont think he did, because if he did, you would actually know the person who shot the arrow. I hope we can have fun with this roleplay , without people interfering and ruining the fun.

Actually I think it depends on how high of level you are in hiding , if your a high enough level then the arrow shot from a sniper not seen. Not all together sure.

Given that you are liked in that town and Sithral is not.. the chances are extremely good that there will be others that will join in the fray.. to which I am not opposed to. It's completely understandable that when a new bastard comes to town killing someone who is liked.. others will want him dead. I've worked hard to have Sithral not liked in that town, so I understand the repercussions.

No, it should be an automatic feature when you kill someone in town.. you are charged with murder. Happens with ranged weapons, hurled weapons, silentstrike, etc... Sorcerers have ways of killing people in town without the murder charge, but any physical attack is an automatic trigger.

Have your friend type JUSTICE WARRANT to see. Because he was in hiding, he won't get arrested immediately... but the charge should be there.
