1. The Security Guard ("SG"): Generally friendly and will help you with other late night casino species, but when sitting down has a habit of falling asleep. If you wake a SG, it may turn somewhat hostile.

2. The Dozer ("D"): Sleeps in a chair at a slot machine. Often can be found near others like it, although some prefer to sleep alone. Have been known to scream or groan loudly if woken suddenly. Has a natural defense against other species - it rarely bathes.

3. The Pretend Dozer ("PD"): Looks like a D at first glance, but is a completely different species. Is actually watching you very closely while you play your slot machine. If you leave any credits in the machine by mistake and start to walk away, the Pretend Dozer will strike and steal the credits left on the machine with blinding speed. Some PDs will walk through a casino checking every machine for credits before settling down to watch a specific target.

4. The Fake Friend ("FF"): Will strike up a conversation with you while you play, and in 3-4 minutes will assume you are suddenly best friends. Will then ask for money. Some of the more aggressive FFs will follow you if you leave the machine and keep harassing you for money until you find a SG. FF's are usually frightened of SGs and will retreat immediately upon seeing one.

5. The Luck Giver ("LG"): An LG believes he can pour out luck to slot machine players. If you hit a jackpot while a LG is nearby, the LG will demand part of the money as compensation for the luck he has bestowed on you. Some LGs can become angry and abusive. Many LGs can only be chased away by a SG.

6. The Flirt ("FT"): A talkative and annoying species that will strike up a conversation with you and then proceed to start a process to mate. Female FTs generally demand money before this process begins. Male FTs are much less common. Few FT males will need money and most will start the mating process for free. However, whereas female FTs can generally be chased away easily, a few male FTs can be very aggressive (especially if they have consumed a lot of alcohol) and an SG will be required to get the FT to retreat.

7. The Cocktail Waitress ("CW"): A pretty species that will offer you liquid refreshment while you play. Unlike a SG, a CW cannot help you against other casino species. Male CWs are extremely rare.

8. The Sneaky Peerer ("SP"): Hangs around ATM machines and trys to see the magic numbers you use to get the machine to dispense money. Has also been known to bump into people as the ATM is dispensing money and steal the funds. SPs are generally very fast runners, and although are frightened of SGs can sometimes outrace them.

I've observed some other casino species as well, and may post about them later.
