Well, this is Kevin. Also known as Warclaidhm in GemstoneIII. Over the summer I went to a military boot camp called Reality Ranch for 6 weeks...teachs you self discipline, self control, etc. Based off of Army basic training. (www.realityranchcamp.com)

Just came back from it, found myself 2 weeks late for school. Make up work sucks..

I'm still interested in coins, but have found myself admist with theortical physics and just plain ... physics. I've always liked math and science. I go to a bookstore now called hastings and review books by Steven Hawkings like, "The Universe in a nut shell", and "A brief history of time", also anything about time travel. It really is fasinating.

Why have I come back here? You might think? Well, most people wouldn't, I assume, (That is, if your hated here), it's definitely not the nicest place to be. I mainly wanted to say hello again because unfortunately GemstoneIII is still holding onto me with a vice-grip. I'm still feel I need to play it...well, I can't, and I probably won't again.

I wanted to say hi to some of my friends here like HarmNone. Haven't seen her post much here either...

Oh, and I lost 23 lbs there too. I'm pretty happy. I'm probably going to get some "flames" from this post, but I brought it upon myself, from stupid things I've said. I'd say things at camp -- stupid things, just to get attention. It was negative attention, but still, attention. And alot of people hated me for it. Whereever I go I seem to have that problem. Here, GS, camp, school, etc. It's just a bad habit and I imagine it must be hard to believe I AM intelligent after this act.

Well, I just wanted to say hello again and perhaps someone would have the maturity to welcome me back.

Thanks all..

~Kev.

My suggestion to you:

Begin a new character. People won't treat you as bad if they don't know you are or were Warclaidhm.

Sounds like a good learning experience for you, hon. You're beginning to see that this little "habit" of yours is working against you, not for you. Perhaps, that knowledge will give you the impetus you need to break the habit and start just being yourself. :)

I'm glad you're doing well, and hope you achieve everything you hope to achieve. With continued effort, you will.

That's true. However to begin another account I would need a credit card (which I don't have), and would have to start over with an entirely new character. Plus, if I started again, I would be stuck back where I was at square 1. Addicted like crack...

In a sense I wish I never started...

Keep up with the reading and working hard, concentrate on school and remember, recognising our faults is the first step to overcoming them! Good luck with stuff! :)

This is very good advice. Please, please do not tell people who your new character is. If you are playing GS again. Just go about it differently than you did before. Okay? Congrats on weight loss and going to that ranch.

I agree with what Stray said (that's like twice in one week I've said that, very weird). Make a new character - don't tell anyone who you used to be. If you have friends that are dear friends, you can take your chances if you want.

Also, try to veer away from merchanting. From what I read that was one of Warclaidhm's main downfalls.

As for your credit card issue, if you really want to play:

Open a checking account and use your check-card just like a credit card. Just make sure there's cash in it.

Late for CC# bill > bouncing your checking acct.

Personally, I don't think Kevin needs to be playing GemStone. It did him no favors, nor did he do it any. Kevin needs to be working on himself, to become the person he wants to be. Immersing himself in GemStone is not going to help him do that. He's proven that to himself already.

Some people can play an RPG, enjoy themselves there, and walk away. Others cannot. Kevin is one of the ones who cannot, at this point. He gets too involved, and the game takes over his life. I think he realizes this, but the addiction still clings.

Keep fighting it, Kevin. GemStone is not for you at this point in your life. :)

Don't ever play again. And stop saying things to get attention. Get on with your life.

~Kev. Seems like you can't seem to get away from that image. It will continue to follow you along your path until you have truly changed from within.

You are still addicted to attention. However, good luck with whatever good you decide to do with your life.

Remember, karma.

Heh. Except, Kevin is smarter than said ninja. Kevin realizes the problem. The ninja does not.

If you can understand anything past the first chapter of Stephen Hawking, you're a hell of a lot smarter than you're given credit for. How old are you, around? Starting high school is an excellent time to reinvent yourself. If you're older than that, college is even better.

Also, Modus >>>>>> Dragonrealms.
