View Full Version : What's the Most Badass Claidhmore In GS History?

Supposedly Tedra had an 8x claidhmore, but I've also heard it was 10x. I'd probably believe either, considering the time and the owner, but I really have no idea if either are accurate.

Anyone know the stats on any of those really high end claidhmores, regardless of whether they're still around or not? Always wondered this, just never bothered to make a thread because I was too busy not having a 10x claid.

I've also vaguelt remember hearing of some with extra weighting.

EDIT: In Prime.

There's a 10x in Plat, at the very least.

I had a blessable 10x in Shattered, I think that is the most accurate possible response to your post.

Methais' hot dog stand used to have a lot of weighting (fat people love hot dogs).

Tough to say these days.

Personally, I'd rather have a 3x claid with undead bane on it then a regular one at 10x.

I know those exist in Shattered (higher enchant too). If it hasn't been made in Prime yet, it should be.

I love that I got red rep for "off topic" in this thread. When my reply was before the edit.

There's a "legendary claidhmores" krakiipedia article.

There are also a lot of items not on that list.

No, whoever is (I'm guessing) red repping you is doing it to everyone in this thread.

The 10x claidh in plat was the only 10x claidh in either instance when it was finished at ccf in 2009. If prime has one it would have been made in the past few years, if that helps. And it was gm confirmed to be the first and only 10x claidh at that time I believe.

Tsin had a +47 claid weighted maul? or mattock - think it was a maul. While not a claid, this is a superior weapon in my opinion.

It was a mattock. Probably the best weapon in the game.

Damn, I guess haters gonna leave anonymous negative rep as a pathetic way to lash out at people to compensate for their own insecurities.

The "extra weighted" claidhmore (unless there's more than one) had some whole ordeal with Meureii. He stated that a GM made some claims about the super weighting, sold the claidhmore, testing showed that it had either proper claidhmore weighting or slightly less weighting. Seller refused to refund, Khariz offered to buy it for the selling price from the buyer. There's a drama-queen circle-jerk thread or two somewhere.

Oh yeah I remember that fiasco. I thought there were others besides that one, but who knows.

Word on the streets is the mattock was nethered, but I don't believe it. Probably sitting in someones locker. Definitely a candidate for best thw in the game.

Hell, nowadays you could add blink, undead bane, t5 ensorcell to it. Then it might be best weapon in the game.

Funny, you can do all sorts of shit to a weapon like that but I can do nothing to my ebow. What a jip.

I know a guy had it in 08 or 09 or so and his house burned down or something IRL. I offered him cash for it to help him out and he said he wouldn't sell it. That was a while ago so it is all a bit fuzzy, but all I know was that I was deployed at the time and I wanted that damn weapon.

Anything with claid weighting would resist ensorcell. But blink and undead bane would still be fair game.

While not quite on subject, but close enough, anyone able to share some insight on the most weighted lance seen?

Mattock was 30 points and +47 it was a dupe like thundermins mattock which was 30 points and like 6x he took it to 10x... theres a maul that is 43 points 5x and 7x on giants I'd take it over the mattock

Ardwen

best actual claid I have ever seen was 7x old style, and yes its long gone, couple of 6x and several 5x around. There are several with extra weighting, I traded the white shaalk to Rhys clearly stating it did not have full weighting, he sold it to Tsin saying the same thing, Tsin misrepresented it to Meurii, which is what started that whole fiasco, I traded it at about 25m value during Anfelt for an AG change ticket, I have yet to actually assess one of the supposed extra weighted ice age claids that sold in the past since they changed assessing to go beyond incredible. I have seen neither of the two Ciston sold as further weighted since they were sold at least a decade ago. One was a shaalk, not white, the other was a xenium hilted laen claid that was 5x.

Tsin's Mattock was a dupe of the one Kythyn had, same stats as Thundermin's femur though from a different source, hers was dropped by a critter in an old invasion. No idea where the femur came from, Thundermin did I believe buy it from Ciston as part of the trade for one of the original rapture cloaks.

I've assessed a Laen claidhmore in the landing I forget the name of the guy but it assessed as Heavily more weighted then other claidhmores of its type the same messaging as katana's so it had 10 more points then a regular claidhmore

No. They do it to see the target annoyed. Oh they are probably insecure as well, but I think they just like the attention, even if anonymously.

Solution: stop commenting on stupid, meaningless, anonymous rep.

SNACK DOG MOTHERFUCKER!!

I sold it a couple years ago. The place I was selling at dried up due to a bunch of layoffs while simultaneously having more competition setting up (doubt they stayed long once they looked around).

Then when I tried to find a new spot to set up, anywhere that was even half decent was like...

I could have ignored them until some government asshole showed up and ran me off, and then set up down the road until I got ran off from there in an endless cat and mouse game like most do around here, but instead I said fuck it and went back to school.

Is there one past mcw? Have only seen a few MCW lances, but with RTCF maybe someone put some ignorant weighting on one.

There was a 4x blink claid made at rtcf1, which is redic.

What was the surcharge for blink? Did it take into account the weighting and such?

4x blink claidh with warmage is kind of game breaking.

Hoy's spear is far better then a blink claid

senorgordoburro
08-18-2013, 05:21 PM
Hoy's spear has undead bane which to me makes it better automatically, but if that was equal, a claid has better DFs, Avds and higher weighting so I think the claid would win out for most people.

Right now I think Hoy's spear is the best weapon in the game that I know about because of the undead weighting and the fact that he can use it one handed and let his spells clean up anything the weighting doesn't kill off the bat. But if a claid was 5x, undead bane, and blink, I think that would be a superior killing weapon, even though the one handed option is very nice for that pesky bolt DS.
