Anyone heard anything about this? I'm going to go see it later today. It was mentioned to me that it would be a good movie to see -- I've never heard of it prior to that. I saw a preview today and realized it has Ben Kingsley in it, and the movie itself looks great.

I'm probably going to still think he's Ghandi though. But hopefully not.

Heard a reviewer on the radio say Hollywood needs to put the “serial killer” movie theme to rest. Being a fan of that genre I’m looking forward to seeing it.

Also want to check out Hero. Not a big Jet Li fan, but this movie looks tight.

So what was unsatisfactory about Hero? The vibrant visuals? The intricate fight scenes?

Just curious as to what aspects weren't enjoyed.

Hero is at times, laughably over dramatic, but I guess that's pretty typical of recent Hong Kong made historical epics. (I did like the movie, but that was my issue with it)

If you did like Hero, you might want to check out The Emperor and the Assassin, which is based on the same story, but it's a little more down to earth.

I actually liked it. It was more of a psychological thriller than anything. Decent. Had some AWESOME cinematography. Ben Kingsley is a GREAT actor (we already knew this).
