Just a question, looking currently at OHE's being sold on the auction forum.

Mmkay so Zelnorn is As/Ds. So I'm guessing if you own zelnorn armor, that zelnorn weapons are cancelled out since the effect is reversed? Was looking at a set of Zelnorn armor recently and was curious if the weapon had any separated qualities that would it make it more desirable for a purely offensive-based melee.

No. They don't cancel each other out. A zelnorn weapon is essentially a defender weapon with the added bonus that if you get it further enchanted by a merchant (mages can't enchant zelnorn) it will enchant both the defender and offensive portion.

So if a zelnorn weapon gives +15 AS and adds +15DS, and a set of zelnorn hauberk gives + 15 DS, and adds +15 AS...Am I just using 6x weapon/armor?

basically, yes, but most people don't have AS AND DS issues. Most have one or the other, so toss on a set of 10x armor and a 5x/5x zelnorn weapon and you have the equivalent to 15x armor.

Well ideally you'd want to use a zelnorn weapon in the off-hand so it adds +AS to your primary swing.

I'd want a zelnorn dagger/shortsword for that. Not a fan of TWC longswords, to be honest.

Zelnorn weapons dont add to Mainhand AS when used in the offhand. - signed, the 3x/3x zelnorn short sword in my locker for a few yrs now.
