Layers of sanguine silk line the inside of the bascinet, a minor amount of the edging underlayed beneath the faceplate's jawline gives the appearance of blood behind the fangs. Very little ambient light reflects from the matte finish of the helm, with the exception of the fangs, and two thin tinted heliodor discs inset deep into the eye sockets.
