Why as the price of silver skyrocketed?

Been a long time since I been around, since before the simu-con store opened or whatever. I was wondering if someone could share with me why the price of silver has risen so dramatically and what effects the store has had on the game and market in general? I have no idea about any of the details of what this has done to the game as I haven't been able to play in a long time. Always was intrigued by the bizz side of the game and am just curious.

It has risen because of RtCF. The effect the store has had on silver is limited to the drop in price of fixskills and fixstats. They don't sell for near as much as they used to. RtCF has caused a demand for silver, though, so the price has gone up. Won't likely go down until after EG, if at all

It's actually well below the peak of 15 dollars per that we saw briefly. It is currently selling at about 11.50, people are asking for more but those lots don't seem to be moving.

Actually the lots at 12 have moved very quickly, as we are just days before run #2.

I would anticipate the price rising or sales going faster after this run because there will be one final run and people have been going into debt to get the services done.
