So, I took the thorax fitting Light was kind enough to provide for me and modified it a little for my lower-tech skill set.
I've included the fitting along with my relevant skills to see what some of our veterans think. Opinions?

Sure, when you get time that would be great. I've been working with the federation navy to get enough LP for a navy vexor.

My only active character has been in an NPC corp for over 2 years now, I guess I could put him in a Gemstone corp. He's very seriously -10 flash red though, so...no high sec.

Found a great fit for Minmatar Thrasher destroyer. For a newbie like me it is tearing through most ships in combat missions and holds up very well with lots of ships buzzing around.

7 - 200mm Autocannon I
1 - optional I use Salvager I

1 - Medium Shield Extender I
1 - Supplemental Screen Generator I
1 - Open slot for webifier, afterburner, or whatever

1 - Damage Control I
1 - Shield Power Relay I

Capacitor - Stable

With the autocannons you can carry around whatever projectile ammo you want to plug it in on the go.

I enjoyed my first destroyer for sure. It seemed SO much tougher than the frigs I'd been flying around at the time. Be careful though, a better equipped one, a cruiser, or even a frig pilot with good skills can still toast you pretty quick. So don't get too reckless.
