So I want to post this...I have the ability to use a fix stat and fix skill if need be...so I really am curious as to how I stack up in those areas. I want to be an "elite" hunter/ambusher preferably with redux? I wouldn't mind trading weapon types, I literally just want to have the most badass fighting rogue, that can pick boxes. Please lets hear some suggestions!

I am level 36

Looks good enough to me, but personally my thoughts are you should probably drop either the edged or the brawling. Just pick one and stick with it, unless you exclusively use katars as a rp choice or something.

With the points you gain back you might be able to bring dodge up to 2x, maybe physical fitness up to 1x as well, its the most important skill in defending against creature maneuvers (as in the hidden roll kind).

work on getting the other vanish ranks too, in my opinion its the most important cman available to rogues with stealth training.

Just some food for thought

Kalishar is right. If you want to be bad ass, you'll need PF and Dodge a lot more then two combat styles. You'll want to drop brawl because OHE's kill faster then brawling weapons or the unarmed combat system.

Is he going to need AS to disarm scarabs?

Yes on AS for bugs. Also, consider going range. Frees up a ton of TPs over TWC edge or sword/board. Not sure how it will work at 36, but it will make for a pretty beast hunter and picker eventually. And drop pickpocket to free up even more points. With PF being the number 1 factor in the redux equation, if you want to maximize your potential, you should at least 1.5, if not 2x. Roll up to rank 5 in shadow mastery and 3 in vanish before worrying about surge and feint and all.

Edited to add that if you're planning on playing this guy up to a reasonably high level, seriously consider resetting stats to max at cap. Will slow things downs lot in the beginning, but will make you a much more well rounded player near the end.

Why not just wait til he's higher level so he'll get there faster?

Because he's got one now. That's a lot of bounty work (not that he couldn't do it in 64 levels) but why squander what's free. He won't gimp himself that much. He's already in the midrange.

^ this

He's already 36, so he's knocked out most of the levels where points are the tightest, and he has a free fixstat. Even if he didn't want to sell the potion, 1m points is a ton of enhancive charges. No sense wasting it. It does slow you down as you level, but not to a crippling degree.

Also, the stats he has capped or close are mostly combat related, so he will level slower and hinder himself in other ways, anyway.

Picking skills and pickpocketing are a drain on combat skills. From your initial lead-in it sounded like you didn't care about picking skills but then you tossed it in. The statements are just a little at odds with one another. Not that you can't be a good hunter with picking skills or anything, you just can't train in everything.

CM-wise: Silent strike doesn't have a whole lot of value anymore because of vanish. Just compare the capabilities of the two and the cost. I know people train in weapon specialization but it's not really worth it. Surge isn't what it used to be either (and you can use enhancives instead of surge). I'd get dirtkick (the best offensive CM for rogues), max vanish, and definitely get combat mobility.

I don't really have anything substantial to add to the skill advice. If you're doing picking, CM has to take a bit of a back seat. Especially to dodge, PF, and probably perception.

My Rogue is lvl 43, sword and board and has no stat higher than 91. He's a bad-ass! A little DS pushdown goes a looonnnnnggggg way. I do have an endgame weapon now, but prior to that was using a 4x flaring handaxe and he was bad ass.

Logic (LOG): 53 (1) ... 54 (2)

This is the big reason to fixstats that rogue. Over time, you'll be taking in 2-3 points per pulse less than if Logic was set to hit 100 at cap. During Lumnis you could lose between 10-15 per pulse and it hinders your ability to store exp.

BTW: Stick with picking at this level. Now is the time to make money. If you switch to make picking a post cap goal it won't matter so much because the creatures are poor.
