The First Annual Nalea Brawl!

Elanthian Elegance, in cooperation with Helden Hall and Sylvanfair, presents the First Annual Nalea Brawl! Join us on Feastday, the 20th of Koaratos (July 20, 2013), at nine-thirty in the evening (9:30pm EST) at Helden Hall's fighting pit where ladies will battle for a coveted Nalea gown and other prizes. Gentlemen are invited to ogle and partake in organized side betting, scotch and cigars.

When: Saturday, July 20, 9:30pm - 10:30pm
Where: Helden Hall's Fighting Pit, Landing


That's right. Women fighting for a Nalea. Literally.

We do request that all participants (and spectators if they’d like!) don their formal wear for the event. Armor is allowed too, we just figured women wearing gowns while brawling would be hilarious. The Master of Ceremonies must remain shirtless, however. (You know who you are.)

Rules of the Brawl:
We were planning on using guidelines similar to the Pit Fight event that was held a few months ago, but I don’t want to list their rules word-for-word without someone’s permission.

Basically..

You must be self-spelled without additional buffs from crystals/statues/scrolls/imbeds.
Any form of combat is allowed, EXCEPT for AoEs.
Fight is considered over when:
1. One fighter has been killed.
2. Fighter has left the pit.
3. 2 minutes of fighting has elapsed. If we have a stalemate, we’ll allow the ladies 30 seconds to either heal yourself via herbs (or if you’re an empath, self-heal) or tend your wounds before we go into Barbie Brawl OT.

We're going to break down the groups of ladies into different heats of:
Levels 10-20
Levels 21-40
Levels 41-60
Levels 61-80
Levels 81-100

The official winner from each group will enter the final free-for-all for the coveted Nalea gown. Prizes will be awarded to all participants as well as the final winners from each group, so no one goes home empty-handed.

I’d like to at least get everyone pre-registered so we have an idea of how many ladies will be scratching one another’s eyes out on the night of the event. If this sounds like your cup of tea, please PM me your character name and level so I can add you to my list!

We’re attempting to organize the side betting and I will definitely let everyone know if it’ll be available.

We have been throwing this idea around for months and we’re really excited about watching it come to bloody, Barbie fruition.

It is a neat idea but I think the 20 level spread is too much and saying the gown goes to the winner of the free for all just means some capped or near enough person will win it, why not something that at least provides the winner from each group an equal chance?

Well, we wanted to create a light-hearted version of the Pit Fights/boulder duels that we all know and love to tie-in with the "Dress Up Barbie" aspect of the game. Sure, the grand prize Nalea is probably more attainable by the higher level competitors, but we have plenty of other options that we're going to try to award to the winners of each level group, including (all altered) unlocked Vanishing Points, Peretta gowns and maybe a Joola. If my prize closet requests are completed in time, we'll also have unique participation prizes to give to everyone that competes.

But if you (or anyone else) have any spare Nalea gowns gathering dust unloved, I'm sure we'd love to take them off your hands to add to the prize pool. :yes:

Imagine the glory of beating up other women while drooling men ogle the contestants. I know women love to compete against each other, here is your chance to be catty without looking like it! If thats not your cup of tea you can always compete for the gown to look amazing and with the level brackets(each one getting a nice gown) you dont have to be a capped beast to get something great. I mean, even on the off chance you lose you get a nice goodie bag just for competing. I took a tour of the fighting pits with Roblar the other day and we battled to see what it would be like. After he kicked my ass it was no fuss at all, no cleric needed or anything and I walked away good as new. Also, Telare will be on hand to give any ladies a rub down if need be after fighting! So ladies, I think its obvious, PM Corlyne with your info and sign up today.

Alright, to get to the pits you have to go to room 6944, which is the festival grounds. From there, it's go gate, west and go steps!

Or some way of letting the guys join in without them dressing up in gowns and makeup, not that theres anything wrong with that. Or just have all the guys go in the pit together at the end and whoever is left standing gets a booby prize of some kind.
