[Dark Palisade, Lovers' Leap]
The desolate moor gives up life to a jagged cliff of jet black volcanic rock and the grey sea beyond. Cold wind carries the spray of the waves below against the rocks and howls up the face of the cliff below. It draws a mournful wail from the dark stone as it hurtles onto the moor, blowing the tenacious shrubs into drawn and flat shadows of their normal shapes. You also see the edge of the precipice.
Obvious paths: north, south, west
>stance d

You are now in a defensive stance.
>jump

You foolishly leap up into the air and straight out over the cliff!

A powerful wall of air suddenly strikes and you find yourself slowing ever so slightly. The surroundings are just a blur of motion as you speed along!
>
Just as you think the falling will never end, you are suddenly dropped into a smooth stone chute. Your sensation of falling turns to dizziness as you tumble down the chute. Without warning you find yourself hanging in the air for a prolonged second and then WHUMP!!!
You are stunned!

You feel the presence of cold hard stone underneath you.
>
XXXX's muscles twitch and a strained look crosses his face.

XXXX stands up.
>l
[Wind Tunnel]
The tunnel stretches away in either direction as far as the eye can see, which is not a long ways at all back into the gale that blows down from the east. To the west, the passage slopes ever downward. If you were to set a wizard's crystal sphere upon the ground, it is easy to imagine it rolling before the wind forever.
Also here: a stunned Character
Obvious exits: east, west

>roll laugh
You roll around on the ground laughing hysterically!
>
XXXX grins.
>say I could've sworn you stood up
You softly say, "I could've sworn you stood up."

You softly say, "How come you were stunned again."

You softly ask, "Did I land on you?"

Apparently it's a combat maneuver. Ok. What the hell? Why are they able to move while they're stunned.. even attack. Isn't the whole purpose of stunning someone is to rend them vulnerable? :?:

Its their best maneuver in my opinion

Berserk is better.

Silent Strike rules them all.

Berserk is better.

I'd rather move somewhere and get into defensive stance, though being able to break out of binds and webs is really nice.

Berserk is better. I dunno, I fancy being able to step away a room and herb up more than running around in stance offensive for 45 seconds. Though I'll be getting both, so it's not that big a deal.

Why berserk is better than stunman:

When you break a stun, the berserk ends. This means you can do whatever you want, with [b]NO RT[b].

If you berserk while stunned it just breaks the stun and stops berserking..so you could berserk than go to a different move. It only attacks if there are no hinderances to break. Also..if you are stunman moving..you're still stunned, so you could be moving into a hostile area still stunned and in a bad stance. Just my 2 cents

I was just reminded, once again, at how bitter I am towards squares for having stunmans and rangers not being allowed to get them.

A lesser ice giant swings a massive icicle at you!
AS: +299 vs DS: +162 with AvD: +38 + d100 roll: +92 = +267
... and hits for 101 points of damage!
Right leg ripped from socket at the knee!
You fall screaming to the ground grasping your mangled right leg!
You are stunned for 8 rounds!

Obviously, I haven't had any use for the new berserk yet. Time to move to a new hunting area, I know.

Drew, if you were a warrior:

A lesser ice giant swings a massive icicle at you!
AS: +299 vs DS: +162 with AvD: -12 + d100 roll: +92 = +217
... and hits for 3 points of damage!
You laugh out loud as your pathetic and therefore rogue-like opponent fails to draw blood!

Flashy swing!
Jonty is lucky that it only bopped his nose.
*** As the blow lands, the feras tiger-claw unleashes a severe smiting of lightning!
... 50 points of damage!
Powerful blast reduces Jonty to a smoldering pile of ash!

* Jonty drops dead at your feet!

The deep blue glow leaves Jonty.
Jonty becomes unbalanced for a second, then recovers.
Jonty appears to lose some internal strength.

* Jonty was just vaporized!

Fucking feras.... At least it wasn't an icicle....
