I'm fairly certain you can't bond to it per se. The strike backs are based off of your disc/inf bonus, it needs to be 50 bonus for no flare back and it seems % based, per point under 50.
For example, if you had 45 bonus, you'd see ~5% strike back. Unless yours is the older kind. Or maybe they re-released the older kind? Dunno, but all the droughtman's coraesine had stat based lash outs.

no that is the older impure coraesine. The newer ones have some sort of bonding involved and stay with the original owner.

What you're thinking of refers to the impure coraesine from years ago. If I recall right, Sentral has one of the new-style coraesine that attunes to the owner and unlocks more abilities with use. So far as I've heard, it doesn't depend on discipline or influence stats at all, only amount of use.

With the new ones. If I were going to TWC with a Coraesine. Is there a point to bonding with it? Would you be better off bonding to the other one since you're already gonna get double swing flares off the Coraesine?
