We live in the country now and were it not for the high voltage power lines 20 miles away lying between our house and the wireless internet broadcast tower, I would have some sort of DSS. Instead we resolved our billing error with Mediacom and ran 3 miles of co-ax to get digital cable.

The moment a tower goes up in range on this side of the power lines, I'm going wireless all the way.

What did you do about the additional receivers and such, PB? How much you paying? (not the intro offer - how much per month?)

First 4 months at $75
Next 8 months at $59

It was more than I wanted to pay, but I figured the NFL ticket is $200 by itself anyway.. so in the end I'm still ahead.

And Direct TV doesn't force you to use any telephone lines anymore.. which is good. You can order PPV by phone or internet and that's all they use it for now anyway.

And I'm very surprised about the signal.. it's much clearer than the cable was.

sunday ticket rocks, I want to convert to direct tv eventually. Its offered through verizon now.

So how man receivers do you have? You able to watching different things on all of them? You able to watch the PPV on multiple TV's?

You get HD or a Tivo with it?

Haven't ordered PPV yet, but we have 4 receivers and I already bought a new computer with a TiVo like program in it. I don't have HD yet.. that's hopefully next year.
