Tonight, turn your clocks one hour forward.

Mist, poppies and sunny nights.

You hate DST where you are?? Try living in Indiana where 2 counties are on central time and change, most of the state doesnt spring ahead at ALL so they're on central half the year and eastern the other half, and part is always on eastern, it's the most confusing mess in the world.

Agree. DST is dumb.

My computer sets clocks for me.

How many lights do you put on when it's daylight at home?

Compare with when it's dark.

If you're somewhat normal, the first result is lower than the second.

1 hour of more "day" would save you 1 more hour of electricty of lights.

* X = more money in your pockets

I agree, Alarke, I would hate that more. The reason I whine about it is mostly because I lived in Arizona for 23 years, which does not observe DST at all (except in Tuba City, but that's the reservation and a whole different rant).

Except Indiana is getting in line with the rest of the country. They are waiting till after the 500 to change, because they've already printed the tickets. Or so says the mother-in-law with news from Indianapolis.

The only reason they make the clocks go forward is so we Brits don't have to spend every single day in the dark. /sarcasm

DST seriously messed with my head I went to the movie (12:10 showing of the ring2 .. don't waste your money) and expected it to end sometime around 2 so I checked my cell to see what time it was when we got out and it said 3:15 it took me like 5 minutes to figure out what had happened to my hour....

Here is an interesting little fact about DSL and another reason communism never works.

In 1930 Joseph Stalin puts the Soviet Union on daylight-saving time, but enforces it for only one year. In 1991, Soviet officials acknowledge that they haven't kept the correct time for 61 years and the Russian clocks are put back on the daylight track.
