PsiNet's back up and on what should (hopefully) be a much more stable home.
OMG BUT JAMUS I CAN'T LINK AM I BROKEN!?!?!?!?
Probably not. Each ISP caches the PsiNet server's IP address for quick reference. Because that IP has been changed, it could take up to 24 hours for your ISP to take another look and correct its outdated IP address.
However! If you are on Windows 2000 or XP, I'm come across an experimental solution.
Attached is a BAT file (if the board allows it) which will run these commands automatically.
Click Start, Click Run, type CMD, and click OK.
At the prompt that appears, type the following commands. After each command, wait for the prompt to reappear before entering the next command. To automatically repeat the least command, press F3.
These are the commands:
ipconfig /flushdns
nslookup psinet.yetisex.com
nslookup psinet.yetisex.com
nslookup psinet.yetisex.com
nslookup psinet.yetisex.com
nslookup psinet.yetisex.com
nslookup psinet.yetisex.com
nslookup psinet.yetisex.com
(Note: Repeat the nslookup at least 5 times.)
ipconfig /flushdns
After that, log out of any games you might be in and log in again. PsiNet may or may not get a clue. It worked for me.
Hope that helps!
