Wizard and Bard are finished.

What guide next?

How to sell bows seems like the logical choice.

What other classes do you actively play?

Cleric and Sorc... but I wouldn't consider myself overly active on either. Mostly script hunted both.
I've also helped friends roll up about 3 rangers, 2 rogues, 1 pally, and a handful of others.

The approach to any guide is fairly similar though... read through the archive of the forums, determine the hotspots for debates, read the costs/benefits, maths out the different alternatives, and determine the best practices, and document why. I mean, the game is based on a very specific set of equations, and it's all about maximizing based on alternatives, or proposing the different outcomes, and letter people select what's most important to them...

http://forum.gsplayers.com/showthread.php?82192-New-sorc-help!/page4 is a great example of approach.

Rogues! I am having a helluva time. The bard is going quite smoothly. I want to run them up to 20 and see what i think.

I voted Paladin so that you can make the following builds:

Pure
OHE/Board
OHB/Board
2h
Polearm
Ranged
Thrown

KK Thanks.

I would like to read up on sorcs.

There seem to be a lot of subtle choices with lores and play-styles for a profession that appear to have mostly pure builds.

With ensorcell in such high demand, a new wave of Sorcs may find your insight most welcome.

Other than that....
Rogue and Ranger guides seem like they will be similar depending on the weapon choice.
Of course, that also means you could write them together, knocking out two professions at once.

A more general guide for play-styles regardless of profession would also be an interesting read:
Hiding: TWC, OH (B vs E), TH
Open: Ambush, Multi-Strike, Poles

Actually, scratch that. Keep knocking off the professions and you will cover them all in great depth eventually.

Just think of the green bars you will earn!

Yeah... but... I'm in that market as a supplier... if the market gets flooded, my profits go down! If only I was able to sell something of substantial value... that way I wouldn't have to worry about treading on my ensorcelling territory.

You should make a guide on how to start a character in your first 30 days. That way, whenever someone inevitably asks about it, we can just link the first 30 guide in response.

Maximizing exp gain in the first 30 would be great.

Seriously though.. we don't need a guide. There's not much too the class. It's 99% the same damn build over and over. Just swapped out for a different weapon type.

edit: Also Pure is pretty impossible without way post-cap and ranged is pretty silly.

If he does end up doing the 30 day thing, I'm sure A LOT of people could chime in with their little tips and tricks. I know I'm not alone in the fact that I've made a shitload of characters, only to abandon them soon after their 30 days.

Sounds like thefarmer just finished the Pally guide.

Nominate sticky!

I voted sorc because it seems like the most complicated/useful, but I would't mind seeing a ranger or paladin guide.

Possible First 30 Day Topics...

Popular weapon types - Claid, Naginata, UAC, TWC

Making the most of instant migration - Lock-picking, buffing, Mana regen, skining, foraging bounties, trading

Tracking when it is over - IE, not when you first started this 30 day mitigation period (I see people messing up on this on L-Net)

Popular Hunting Grounds - EN, WL, IM

Additional goals to keep in mind - Deeds, GOS (so you won't have to go to Teras at 21), COL

Tips/tricks such as: 1 RT claid swings for Wizards, using sonic armor to change armor types as you get more armor use, purifying aqua wands with clerics if you switch to pure, going pure sooner for some professions (sorcs?), possibly using fetching after 30 days for another level or two

There is a bit of depth here. Putting it all in single place along with your data mining/analysis would be nice.

I feel like the first 30 can vary greatly from class to class.

I've gotten 30 I'm 30 days on e following: warrior, empath, paladin, wizard.

While war and pal are pretty straightforward, the wizard and empath would need their own section. I suppose he could do one for each about which spells to push for first, little things like that, but 30 is about the best you're gonna do. And that's with big shot running constantly.

My vote is for Clerics OR

HEMAN WOMAN HATERS CLUB- Pro's and Cons of each society and the fastest path the mastering.

Cleric please. It's actually the only class I think I understand but it'd be nice to see where I'm wrong (or right...it could happen!)

I think the first 30 days are fairly well covered, how about a second thirty day guide

Arguably, all the (both) profession guides are guides to after the first 30 days.

None of them covers how/what to do after converting from the get max exp to your real new hunting style though

How could you leave out ranged for giantmen?! I'll take a 3 second longbow over a claid for the first 30. Also, fletching can get more than a couple of levels if you use it right over time - about 375k if you only do it during triple xp. Or if you fletch through the entire lumnis, I put it at about 30k xp in that six hours, especially once you can keep your head full after about 150-175 ranks.

You started this migration period on Friday, 6/7/2013 at 21:49:28 EDT. You have 22 days, 3 hours, 48 minutes remaining in your current 30 day migration period.

You're currently migrating at a rate of .001 skill points per pulse, and have converted 16074.00 training points this migration period.

Like a BOSS.
