See below.

I glanced at him, and:
Brandomonic mockingly says, "What the hell are you doing."
>
Soldavi traces a series of glowing runes while chanting an arcane phrase...
Soldavi gestures.
Multicolored rays shoot out of Soldavi's body and flow into the shimmering sphere around him.
>

Soldavi gestures.
A luminescent aura begins to swirl around Soldavi.

Spells should come with a disclaimer:

If you cast at someone who, at initial glance, you believe you can hit and it doesn't work out - there's always WARN.

I beat Rarr too. She's really stupid.

Arceror's a retard, and that warn is void because he used it to escape conflict.

I was wondering about that... I'll keep that in mind. Not that it really matters anyway, he probably won't attack me again. I wish he would, though.

Oh...that little fucktard is going to die many times over.

I was at work, hunting with my newly rolled up mage in fire guardians and phantoms. Was at the node and had to Alt-Tab because a co-worker came to talk to me. In the 30 seconds I wasn't paying attention, he tapped me on the shoulder, said "Hey, are you in there?", then joined my group and took the boxes out of my disk, and rang off.

My own fault for not closing my group/disk, but it's the principle. I've got a script set up to rub a blue crystal and major fire him next time I see him. Little bastard moves fast though, three or four times now I rub the crystal, prep the spell, and he's out of the room before I can cast. He'll die multiple deaths when I do catch him.

Hahaha.. He thought you were in a zombie state, and stole your boxes in your disk by joining you??? That's hilarious!

I would also consider it mechanic abuse as it was not the intent of the author of the disk mechanics to have them abused in such a manner. Assist and let them know you will be killing him repeatedly until he gives you the boxes back.

Also.. his name is missing a well deserved "RO"

Yeah, I got a good chuckle out of it at first, but it was more in disbelief someone would have the audacity to do it. The whole "Are you in there?" line.

Like I said, I Alt-Tabbed to a dummy spreadsheet for 30 seconds, tops. But the node there is always dead, rarely more than one person there, so I can see why he'd think I was zombied.

And as PB said, it's borderline mechanics abuse. And that's why I'm going to kill him...alot. Unless he wants to pay me off. And I do plan on doing a quick report to warn the GMs as to my intentions and reasoning behind them.

Nah. According to Brauden that ain't mechanics abuse. Shitty as it sounds. You can kill him for it though. Mucho consent.

It sounds like the exact definition of mechanic abuse to me. Certainly, that was not the intent of the programmer.

Kill him often.. I sure would.

The description of 511 says not to put anything valuable in disks. How could you possibly argue that taking something from a disk is mechanics abuse? It's the same as putting it on the ground. Keep things in your own containers and you wouldn't have that problem.

Also, I've taken about 20 boxes from disks. Fuck them if they don't like it.

If that's the case, why was it changed that you can ONLY take things or put things in disks if you're a member of the disk owner's group?

For years you could take/put things into disks, regardless of group status. It was changed for a reason. Stalking someone and taking something out of someone else's disk is just a way around the code added to disks to prevent it.

Because a kobold hunter would use 'get chest' instead of 'get chest from my backpack,' and he'd grab the stronghold hunter's chest and everyone would blow up and die.
