32nd level will help. I'd suggest adding 2-3 more Wizard spells to get around 27/28 ranks.

FYI, I have done a 5x on my wiz and am currently working on a 6x. Similar training and so far the 6x is almost finished. He's 34 trains.

Pre final casts are a bit misleading. At 29 and similar training I had 2 failures before I upped wizard ranks and some other failures on a second wizard. Its just a tentative level range for the high 97%(3% fail rate on final cast) range you want to be comfortable at.

Be forewarned! I had a successful 6x enchant with this level/skill/stat set and a final cast failure on the subsequent 6x project with slightly better skills. The failure on the final cast of the second project was NOT the random 3% variety and was also cast unencumbered, in a workshop, with familiar present. Fortunately, it was a minor failure and I was able to complete the project.

That is my slave 6x caster and it gets the job done at level 38.

I started my first 5X the day I made 25, mine is a classic bolt wizard with stats set for max at cap. I have since done 4 and never had a failure.
