So our monthly bill arrived today and we find two charges (same price) for gemstone. Now before I call up the company and ask I wanted to ask if anyone else got this and if it was when they were going to charge us twice (I remember hearing about that but not when it was or if it already happened)

the double charge was quite a while ago. I think thats a billing error.

...and to answer your initial question, I was only charged once for the month of August. :smilegrin:

My parents only pay for it because they paid for it for my brother for about eight years (I never played it back then). But don't worry, even though they paid for all of his college and both of his gemstone accounts, they're now making me pay it on top of paying for my college.

The double charge was December or so. Nothing new should appear twice.

Thank you people for being idiots (Meaning me and my family)!

What I should've looked at before I called was the date... which showed one charge on 6/26 and the other on 7/25 so it was correct and somehow it got on the same bill.

Cause they were like "Oops we forgot to charge you enough in one year so to make up for it we're gonna charge you twice right by Christmas"

Basically, Simutronics wanted people to pay in advance, instead of a month behind, which is what everyone has been doing. Quite an uproar, from what I recall. Right next to X-mas....

That's because your parents, like all of us, know that you're completely worthless and the money would be a waste.

Think of it as payment for all the therapy you have put your family through.

Paying for college yourself, your credit card bill, your books, your car insurance, and so on make all your accomplishments that much more meaningful.

Who's an employer going to take, all things else equal? Someone who went to school on mommy and daddy's dollar, or someone who worked 20 hours a week during the school year and full time during the summer to pay their own way? I certainly hope it's the latter.
