I've always played a warrior with two styles. Whether it be hurling/polearms, or THW/OHE. The issues that i'm findng are the balance between shield and dodge use. Let me show you what i'm working with.

What should I be looking at, goals-wise? I'm going Voln, and I really like the option of using a shield for light-armor wearing magic users, and having a big THW to use against things that have heavier armor. What's the sweet spot, training wise, for shield/dodge?

Thanks in advance!

I'd suggest 1x in dodge until you get into fullplate. Why exactly are you wanting a shield for that? You can just as easily use a quicker two-handed weapon if speed is your issue. Never understood the whole wanting to have two combat styles unless they actually complimented each other in some way. Brawling used to be great for anyone in voln but not so much any more with UAC. Not sure why you'd do hurling/polearms unless you also had shield use. For two-handed weapons there have been some people to pick up ranged as a second style. Not a bad idea I guess, you could shoot lightly armored foes with faster RT then you could swing and you could also shoot flying creatures out of the sky instead of waiting for them. If you are worried about DS, 2x dodge as a two-handed weapon user gives you plenty. Are those the stats you plan on using? They aren't set for growth and if you ever plan to do warcries and berserk through the guild having low INF and DIS is going to hurt each of those respectively.
