We've got a set of 5x fire flaring golvern fullplate we're auctioning off for next month's event. The idea is to make the alteration appeal to the general audience who might want to purchase it.

The prize will be 1m. We'll run it for a week - so the deadline will be 6 PM EST Friday the 31st.

There are no guidelines for what we want, just what would be most aesthetically pleasing to general bidding.

PM me your designs, so if we decide not to use your ideas no one will steal them. Thanks

Telare

Three designs in, two who have said they'll submit a design have yet to. Deadline is still 6 PM EST on Friday, any submissions before that will be considered. Thanks.

A little late with the result, here. A lot of very good designs were sent to me, I appreciated them all and a group of us considered each of them carefully.

We came to decide on this: Mirror-finished buckled golvern full plate. - Brushed in subtle tones of bronze and gold, the surface of this armor is polished to a near mirror finish. Twin, thick oxhide straps cross the left shoulder and pulls down to the brass-buckled belts that bisect the abdominals of the piece, accentuated by the articulate copper-struck scales resting on a single shoulder. Each aesthetic curve of the metal is marked with a series of notches at regular intervals, as if machined into that shape by gears.

This was submitted by Niamhe. Congratulations, Niamhe! And thank you all for your participation.

I don't know if this has been submitted yet, but there are several grammatical errors (and stylistic errors) that should be fixed. And, frankly, this needs editing because it has passive voice and the second sentence is a little confusing (how do the shoulder straps "pull down to the brass-buckled belts"? What does she actually mean by "pull" in this context?).

Second sentence should read: "Twin, thick oxhide straps cross the left shoulder and pull down to the brass-buckled belts that bisect the abdominals of the piece, accentuated by the articulated copper-struck scales resting on a single shoulder."

I'm glad the sitaution is at well in hand here.

Corrections will be made. It has not been submitted yet. There was another in consideration that I had doubts would get approved by Sadie, as much as I liked it. I also felt this design had a good concept, and I do have enough grasp of the english language to correct mistakes before I submit it. The help is certainly appreciated, though.

I was so impressed by this design, that despite the fact that it didn't win the vote I am going to pay for it anyway and give it the attention it's due.

This was submitted by Laphrael:

A fire-gilt,suit of golvern, platemail - - - Overlapping tiers of thick golvern plates, each bent into uniquely turned curves at their apices, form this stout suit of heavy armor. Along the edge of each scale, a gilded bevel adds a glittering accent on top of the already lustrous reddish-gold hue, only to be countered by the dark matte bronze tone of the underlying haubergeon and camail. When donned at night, the wearer would appear only as a flicker in the shadows, but in the sunlight, a roaring fire scorching the battlefield.

Congratulations on a great design, contact me to pick up your prize.
