FOR THE FIST TIME EVER!

72 - 57 over Louisville

Who do you predict will be the opponent, NC or MI?

Playing NC would put me in a coma for two reasons. It's my home state, and my wife would kill me if I let out the smallest cheer.

How did IL get a 37 and 1 record, Coach of the year, and a seat in championship game?

Powel ... the man who undoubtedly got them the win this evening? Nah

Brown ... burning speed demon on the court? Nah

Augastine ... versatile and threatening behind the line and in the pain? Nah

Instead of running the roster I'll just show you how.

They'll be playing Michigan State.

I'm more interested in the women's Final Four, since LSU's going to be running the table.

I'm assuming they'll be playing NC, I just dont think State can keep up the pace with NC for 40 minutes, but we're about to find out!

And to all those who laughed when I said Illinois would be there, HA!

I thought Illi had the best odds to win it from the start?

Well, it looks like the Illini will be dealing with UNC heels tomorrow. It will be one hell of a game, and one that I personally have waited for all year. I'm tired of all the talk of how weak the Big Ten is/was this year and how Illinois is overrated. I say if 3 teams in the elite eight and two in the final four is a bad year, bring it on!

I think this will be a great match. Williams can guard anyone, anywhere, and make them look like a below average guard. He took out Gargia, who was 2/10 or so last night and Staudemire last week. No one wants to guard or be guarded by Dee brown, and if Felton gets that job he wont have the speed to do it well. Let's hope the Illini guards are strong on Monday.

The big issue I see is points in the paint. May... what the hell do you do to stop him? Putting Powell on him will be a strong start, but we'll have to end up doubling with Augestine a lot for size, hopefully the constant double teaming wont eat away at the score, but we shall see.

I think UNC has more overall talent, but Illinois has the heart and determination of champions, so I think they'll edge out the heels by 5, we shall see!

No different than any other team Illinois has faced with a strong center .... shut everyone else down and make the man in the paint do most of the work.

The only difference is UNC has two to three other first round draft picks on the court, along with Sean May.

I think UNC is going to take it, being an unbiased fan of the game.

That's what MSU tried to do Tsa'ah -- they failed.

May is way too much for any small-body to handle. He's just way too big.

Gotta love it when your alma mater makes a final four run and you're out of the country.

I turn on CNN international to see the outcome of the Kentucky-MSU game, and I learn that India lost to Pakistan in cricket. Talk about a kick to the junk!

I have to root for Illinios... I hope the Big Ten takes it.
