I was talking with a friend about and odd occurrence she had. It seems she jumped In a dark puddle outside of the landing. She said about a minute later she got a rash and was stunned. As time passed the rash got worse for her till she was getting wounds and falling down stunned. She said she wasn’t cursed or poisoned. She seems to think it would have killed her if the bandits didn’t get her first. Any idea why this would happen? She was doing an escort mission is this something that would happen normally?

Most likely one of the left over poisoned pools from the recent storyline. Tell her to stop playing in the mud puddles.

Yeah, definitely one of the murky pools. Stay away from those. ;)
