4 weeks worth of energy caps, or 1 full week past the point of being able to do a tier 5 cast.

You chant a prayer to Fash'lo'nae while tracing a glowing yellow slit-pupiled eye in the air as your eyes flare with yellow light.
Your spell is ready.
You gesture.
You sense the build up of necrotic energy within you has reached its limits. You have enough necessary to permanently ensorcell an item for the fifth and final time.
Cast Roundtime 3 Seconds.

I was at tier 5, I hunted about a week's worth of energy, that should put me at 4 full weeks of energy, and I got this message:

>735

Your spell is ready.
You gesture.

So I think I'm at the overall cap, 4 weeks, which would make sense, about 1 month, right?

So I do a tier 1 cast, which should bring me down from 4 weeks of energy, to 3 weeks of energy, leaving me enough still to do a tier5 cast.

So apparently, I either did not get credit for any energy I had accumulated after reaching T5, even though I had not gotten the cap message yet, OR my cast drained 2 weeks of energy for some reason, OR the actually overall cap is like 3.4 weeks, and not 4 weeks, which seems like an odd place to stop (unless you were just giving us 1.05 or 1.10 of a T5 as the overall cap to take into account a bad roll or two when trying to do a t5 cast). I think the latter may be accurate because I note that I am not getting now a weekly cap indication.

Hopefully it doesn't just knock you down to 4 flat after being able to push past tier 5. Otherwise, just cut the gain at five. I imagine you're planning on running the numbers to see what, if anything, is left over on your work back up to tier 5.
