Not in this thread. Wanted to do so here as well to help her out if I could. She's good people, she's just not a career merchant and so she doesn't constantly have her finger on the pulse of the current market like some of us and wants to get as much as she can on her way out. Faulting her for that is just mean. Bid or move on, ya know? lol'ing doesn't require a thread crap.

In fairness to her, there's a thread in Appraisals in the last week suggesting that belly chains are worth 10 million or more, so compared to that these are actually cut-rate.

There's a slight difference between the 10-15% or whatever you are over market value you are consistently asking when you are willing to sit on an item for months before selling it, and the 100-200% the going rate these items are priced at for an account that is trying to be closed.

Considering silvers have doubled in value, a 10m appraisel would unfortunately now be a 5m appraisal...and noone is giving up silvers due to CCF. I imagine you could freeze/close your account, give these to a friend to hold until this fall or winter and you may be able to sell them for what you are trying to sell them for.

Belly jewelry was a much bigger deal back when these items were made originally. The new FWI guru is planning on creating navel rings (and pasties, too!... LOL)--or at least, she was at the last FWI OOC meeting.

My guess is, in the near future, you'll be able to look cheap for a very low price. :hump:

You are definitely asking the wrong person. I haven't played in years and to me they'd be worth jack shit. When I sold mine I probably made 20m off each one, but this was in like 2001.

I would probably put an MB of about 100k for any of the fluff jewelry. It's unlikely you're going to get a lot for that stuff. The real money is in armor, weapons, and items with unusual properties (in other words, utility items). I would also let this thread die and start a new one where you list your fluff items and conduct that like a regular auction.
