Looking to pick up a new computer, since mine fried. Not really willing to take the time to build one from scratch again, and this one looks worthwhile to me. I have no experience with IBuyPower, never heard of them until recently. anyone have any experience with them or have any other worthwhile input?

They are a legit site. I can say that much. Of the few people I know who dealt with them, they never had complaints. All I heard that could be considered a negative is stuff can be gotten for a lesser price elsewhere, but beyond that it's all been fairly positive.

I did some googling and the only negative feedback I could find was that sometimes the components aren't all hooked to the power supply... which is not a problem if you know your way around a box.

I've never purchased from them but they've been around for at least 5+ years. I've been thinking of getting a pre built as well, I just don't have the energy to research and build another system but I do have the cash/need for one. Let us know if you do buy from'em and how it turned out.

I actually have a computer I bought from them. I believe I bought it four or five years ago. The only problem I had with them was trying to get them to replace something. The power supply died within 60 days. I ended up buying one to avoid talking to them. Other than that it was fine.

I bought a system from them about 6 months ago. Nothing to complain about so far.

When I was getting a new system a few years ago I was trying to decide between them or cyberpower. I ended up going with cyberpower but I haven't really read anything bad from ibuypower either.

How was the cyberpower experience?

No complaints from me still using the system with just an upgraded graphics card now.

I went with cyberpower as well, no issues with it in 2+ years, and they answer calls promptly and with useful answers. Odds are my next system will be from them as well.

I've had my computer from IBuyPower for 2 or 3 years now, one of the best computers I've ever owned. I have no complaints at all. I've never had to deal with their customer service/technical support so I can't comment on that but then again I view it as a positive that I've never had to deal with those departments.

I have bought from them and Cyberpower both. I was happy with both

Yeah, I think I am on the verge of ordering the one I was looking at... but I will probably put in a 750w psu in place of the 500w it comes with, just to be on the safe side.

I have a desktop I just bought a few months back. It is running like a champ.

The timing is the only complaint I ever had with ibuypower. Expect at least 30 days before your system arrives.

I got mine within a week, on the day they said it would arrive. I guess experiences vary.

I had the same issues with cyberpower, took forever and a day to build/deliver. It might be based on how much you customize it, I guess.

When did you guys get yours?

Did you have a custom built one or a premade one? I can echo what Alfster said about build times if you're getting a custom built one, ignore whatever estimate they give you and expect to wait 4-6 weeks, if you get it sooner then bonus baby! When I was decided whether or not to buy from iBuyPower I saw many complaints about how long it took them to build the computer and ship it.

Mine was custom, I got it in 2013 though. Maybe I was lucky or maybe they streamlined some stuff.

I'm planning on a pre-built for maximum laziness.

Maybe they took all of those complaints seriously over the years, I bought mine back in 2010 or 2011.

Yeah, yours probably will get to you as fast as they can pull it from the warehouse and send it.

I bought a premade ibuypower from newegg probably four years ago. I still use it today. The only things I've done are replace the power supply because the fan was making an annoying noise (worked fine) and add a second internal hard drive.

Mine took a little longer to come in but that was because I wanted one of the sandy bridge motherboards just after intel had recalled them all.
