A burnished veil iron javelin
5x, 6 lbs

+13 Thrown Weapons Bonus (55)
+5 Dodging Bonus (9)

Great for RtCF.

Take it to swap the Thrown to ranged or spell aim and make an orb out of it or...

Get it made into a returner, or better yet, get chrono flares on it! -According to Wryom, Enhancive isn't a script Fusion is, so therefore this would be ok for returner or chrono-

Granted, there is no weighting on it right now, but.. there will be weighting at the fest!

I think enhancives are a script, that would prevent it from being used as the make-a-returner.

Edit
Enhancives aren't a script, so you're fine. Fusion is a script.

Don't forget that since this item is made of veil iron, it can be used with the new CMANs for rogues and warriors (Spell Thieve, Spell Cleave, etc).

Orbs yes, enhancives I don't think so. I generally don't like to use my weapon for my weapon enhancives though for some reason. Maybe because I'm not always using the same weapon, and I want the same bonus all the time. If you made this into a chronomage weapon and it was your go-to weapon, it would be pretty sweet.

guess no interest in this. I'll prob just save it and see if I can get it switched to spell aim and orb it at EG.

This would make a nice returner or chronomage. Please.. Jarvan, don't waste an enhancive conversion slot for something you merely wish to orb.

Honestly I wouldn't use it for either of those. Why? Because it's veil iron and also I can get the thrown enhancive from another slot. Additionally veil iron remains unenchantable. As CRB wouldn't waste an enhancive conversion on it, I wouldn't waste a "make a returner" slot on it. There are much better weapons for that. Chronomage perhaps would be reasonable, and certainly a chronomage javelin is the way to go. But even consider the ability to use the new CMAN's, you're probably better off in that regard with something that can be ensorcelled repeatedly instead of having the present restrictions.

I think you'll get the best value on this from someone who wants a +13 hurling orb, unless they come out with "make a bandolier" in which case this would be the shit as a bandolier weapon.

Thats true, orbing it for the thrown enhancive is probably best. Then you could stick it in some pimped out hurling fusion weapon... though... fusion can't play with the returner scripts I imagine so.... that isn't an option there. Yes, it is unenchantable, but sits at +38 as is, which isn't too bad considering the +35 softcap. With merchant and PP enchanting it has the potential to become +63.

You put it in your fusion shield or fusion armor and you're good to go.

Well.. you can't enchant chronoflared items either. and the enchant for that is limited to 6x.

Here is a plan, take it to rtcf get it enchanted, take it a second time get it chronomaged, that'd make it the highest enchanted chronomage item at an effective +43, effectively a defender weapon too with the dodge bonus which is not unsubstantial.

I want this thing but the price is kinda steep. You need to burn a semi-rare merchant service to turn it into something of value.

And yet at least one chronomage dagger is 10x enchanted as we type. The surcharge for pp enchanting chronomage daggers is not high. Most if not all of them have been further enchanted.

-shrugs- doesn't matter to me one way or another. I'll take it to RtCF, if Chronoflares isn't auction I will see if I can win it, if not, I'll do something else with it.

And Wyrom just announced that only daggers are eligible for chrono-flares. Dream crushed.

pretty much. Guess someone should forge a perfect dagger get it to 6x and weight it if they can before getting the flares.

Bummer. That sucks. I don't mean to bust on your javelin either. It's a nice weapon as is for the right person.

On chrono-weapons: They can be enchanted further (was told that Neimanz used a wizard to bring his from 6-7x), they can be ensorcelled (Rolfard confirmed that my 6x Chronomage dagger would be 'easy'), and they can accept weighting (I have not personally confirmed this, however, I see no reason why not since Sunfist weighting works quite well)

Is this still for sale? If yes, MB.
