Anyone have any idea what is going on here? My partner and I are working on cheapshots and we're just 2 ranks apart, everything was going fine with partner reps until a few minutes ago when I stopped receiving reps for partner tasks. I'm two ranks higher than he is but as I said everything was working fine until a few minutes ago, I got half a rank with the way things are.

I thought maybe it's just a fluke, I'll wait until he gets another rank and try again. But then I started doing some tough boxes for lock mastery and I went through 3 boxes that I know should have given me a rep but they didn't give me any reps either.

Anyone have any clue?

Well never mind. He just got a rank and cheapshots are working again, hope lock mastery works now too.

You should get reps as long as he is not 3 ranks below you in cheapshot. Were you going by cheapshot rank difference?

As for lock mastery, the difficulty is based on your current skill vs. the difficulty of the box. If you gained more skill in picking, then you will need more difficult boxes.

Also, if your pick has been broken too many times, it won't give reps. If memory serves, that's 3 times (But someone may need to chime in here if I'm wrong. I'm not a locksmith nor have I ever trained lock mastery :P).

Yes I was 2 ranks above him in cheap shots, neither of us had gotten a rank and suddenly I stopped getting reps. As for lock mastery I purposefully have not been training in lock picking for a few levels now so I don't have to keep getting more and more difficult boxes. I usually get reps from 550 locks, sometimes it requires a slightly higher lock. I almost always receive a rep for anything 650+. The reason I figured something was wrong is because I picked a 720 lock with no rep.

For some reason both problems were fixed as soon as my partner got a rep in cheap shots.

What is your level difference? I have seen in the past, people needing to be within 1 rank of their partner, because their level was so much higher.

As for the locks, I am sadly no expert at LM. Have you changed picks? Was the lighting in the room different?

7 levels. Nothing at all had changed though between getting reps and not getting reps.

Exact same lockpick I've been using the entire time for lockmastery, never been broken. Picked the boxes at the exact same spot I've always picked boxes for lock mastery.

As you progress in lock mastery, you have to start using higher quality picks. If you had just gained a rank, you probably hit the next threshold and your pick will no longer work for reps. What type of pick was it?

I had thought this, except he said he was getting reps again, which wouldn't be possible if he needed a better pick.

But I guess he could have switched picks?
