"Now douchebag, I'm gonna ask you a fucking question. It'll be answered yes sir or no sir. What the fuck is your problem tonight?"

Wait...what?

I caught that, too. Fuckin tard. I think he might have asked if he understood first, so maybe that worked for him.

It is pretty clear this is a case of assault under color of authority and officers should have been convicted. I hate to see this stuff.

Also I'm no legal expert but can't someone in jail sue someone else? The guy making this video made it sound like they were purposefully keeping him in jail long enough so it would be too late to sue.

I only watched bits and pieces of this but it all sounds pretty fucked up. The sticking point to me was the picture, up until I saw that I kept thinking "Meh...maybe the guy is exaggerating things."

Unless that picture is fake? Someone find out!

The saddest part about it is that the guy's biggest crime was inconveniencing someone who was probably already having a bad night. I have some sympathy for officers, who often do a job that's shitty and dangerous, and if some guy comes swinging at them, I won't feel too sorry if he gets a few extra punches in return, but this guy was compliant.

Maybe they should have found the doctor killing babies instead. What the fuck is wrong in PA?

The dude shouldn't even be in jail, much less need to worry about whether or not he can sue someone. I don't see why you couldn't, but then again, if this all went down like the video claims, there's some seriously corrupt shit going on up there. Seems to me that it goes far deeper than the police if they were able to take this dude in various states of beatdown to the hospital and remove him multiple times (even once should probably have set off some alarms given the situation). Then there's the judge and whatever other judiciary workers were involved.

It's hard to believe something as fucked up as this, with pretty clear evidence against the police, is able to take place in today's environment. Watching the video, I was thinking, 'Wow, these dudes are fuckin idiots. They have to realize the camera is recording video and audio on enough of the beating to cause them problems. These guys think they're Michael Chiklis and The Shield and I'd wager they knew ahead of time that video wasn't going to affect them.

This is the sort of thing I'm hoping the feds are workin on black ops-style so they can come in and bust up that whole deal.

It makes me sad that I knew, knew, before I opened the thread that E would solve it with universal surveillance.

I don't think anyone has defended the cops at all in this thread, why all the hostility?

the guy did deserve to go to jail. it was a pursuit. look at the vehicle position. obviously he didn't peacefully pull over. he probably needed to be tazed initially too. From there on out, however, it was not pretty. Starting with the jump off the car onto the guy's body. Then the incident in the backseat. Even if he did spit on him, you cannot assault him. You immediately take action to ensure he cannot do it again (which usually doesnt feel good to the suspect) but then you stop. Or your partner takes over since you are too jacked up to deal appropriately. The guy that got spit on is an egotistical bully unable to control his emotions. It led him to commit a felonious assault on a dirt bag. His partners on scene are cowards and complicit for not stepping in. I am a cop, and his behaviour is inexcusable.

Yeah cause clearly corruption would see to it that it were a flawless system...

Yeah. Yeah. We are much better off with corrupt people beating people within an inch of their life than corrupt people looking at video monitors. Yeah.
