Recent tweak to spotting traps?

I've rarely missed spotting a trap but in the past month or so I've missed seeing three. I'm hunting in the same spot and my skills haven't changed. No wounds or scars or anything either. Anyone else seen anything like this?

If so then I have no clue, I haven't noticed anything.
