It's a pretty fun game. I feel like the developers wanted me to have fun playing the game rather than trying to punish me for playing the game. If I can't quite finish off a unique mob I can go back to town, buy some potions, heal up come back and GASP! The mob isn't back to full health. Just about all unique/named mobs drop rare and unique items and what not, it's not a miracle when a decent upgrade drops for your character. No stupid AH to buy your upgrades.

If only Diablo 3 was more like this game I would probably have never stopped playing Diablo 3. Also Torchlight 2 is only 10 bucks on Steam at the moment.

I played it after the D3 debacle. IDK, I guess dungeon crawlers aren't my thing. I would say grinding random yet procedurely generated dungeons to achieve some goal of gearing to the max isn't my thing, but I play WoW. Something about the genre just doesn't grab me.

Yeah, I don't know if D3 burned me out on the genre or maybe I've outgrown these types of games but I really don't see me playing this game after I finish it once. Just nice to find a Diablo type game that doesn't make me want to rip out my own eyeballs.

I really lost faith in blizzard after warcraft 3, personally Warcraft 2 was one of my favorite rts games ever. Loved Diablo 2 as well and a big part of that think tank went to make the torchlight series. I enjoyed 2, but I still prefered Diablo 2 as the pinnacle of that style of game. Diablo 3, while I read up on it once in awhile, I haven't played it for at least 10 months, all I did was make enough real money in the auction house to buy star craft 2 for myself and a couple friends.

I bought torchlight 2 at 20 bucks, and I was happy with the purchase.

I have Torchlight 2. I haven't played it much because some of my friends who also have it sort of drove me away for a while. We'd group up, and they'd keep pushing me to put it on the hardest level and to run through the areas as fast as possible, so I felt like I was missing a lot.

Tried out SC2? The single player campaign is pretty fun. The most recent expansion is pretty awesome too.

Yeah Played through the single player on the stand alone, it was good. Maybe I'm older, and my tastes are different I still prefer WC2, infact I got an old 486/33 I sometimes power up and play for a bit.

I was pretty surprised the other day I saw an advertisement for this expansion in the store, I haven't heard a single thing about this expansion being released at all. Have I just not been paying attention much lately or have Blizzard releases not been receiving much fanfare after their Diablo 3 failure?

Yeah I was suprised as well when I seen it was out. One time Blizzard was the company to be, I used to feel I would buy any Blizzard product, D3 finally killed that for me. I think Blizzards ultimate failure is being bought out by EA, when they were still índy' they seemed to have more success.

They didn't advertise it a lot, oddly enough. I pretty much found out it was released because I looked it up on wikipedia.

Same for me. It used to be I couldn't wait for the next Blizzard title, whether it was a new game or a new expansion pack. I would always buy the game within the first week of release, most of the time the day of release. I could honestly care less about Blizzard products now. I think the only game I would look forward to is if they released a new MMORPG.

Yea, I'm actually getting back into SC2 out of boredom. Been playing some 3v3 and now replaying the campaign on the hardest level. If I go through this, I'll probably pick up the expansion and give it a try.

I've never been big on RTS games, especially multiplayer, but lately I've been watching 2v2 and 3v3 matches for Dawn of War 2 and I've been hooked.

Expansion was done well I think, just finished it. I really hope the third release is centered on the protoss though, but you never know with blizzard.

3rd xpac has already been announced as a thing with a protoss focus, named Legacy of the Void. It's centered around the guy who shows up around halfway through HotS.
