Pasted is the log from Plo's referral with GM Rex after having his self enchanted 4x Rune Staff(same as come off the turnip farm) disarmed then picked by the janitor:
You ask, "How are ya?"
You peer quizzically at Rex.
Rex asks, "Good and yourself?"
You say, "Eh."
You ask, "No chance I can get the staff back, eh?"
You peer quizzically at Rex.
Rex shakes his head.
Rex says, "It was lost through normal mechanics."
You blink.
You ask, "A selective janitor 10 seconds after I leave the room?"
You say, "Ok, can we stop with the normal mechanics shpiel."
Rex says, "Janitor can come at any time."
You say, "I have a request."
You nod to Rex.
You ask, "Would it be possible to get a 0x Rune Staff, same as I came off the farm with?"
You peer quizzically at Rex.
Rex says, "If you are asking for a replacement, even at 0x, it would have to
be denied."
You ask, "Why?"
Rex says, "Because then we would be asked to replace every lost item for
everyone else too."
You say, "No."
You say, "It's different."
Rex says, "Loss is a loss."
Rex says, "You can ask on the net to see if anyone has one you can purchase."
Your jaw drops.
You ask, "Are you kidding?"
You say, "It's not like I want some ridiculously insane piece of gear replaced."
Rex says, "That is the only way you will be able to get another runnestaff, since a replacement can not be granted."
Rex says, "Unless."
Rex says, "You want to use your once time replacement."
You ask, "Once time replacement?"
You blink.
Rex says, "If you cash it in."
Rex says, "You will not be able to use it to get anything else replaced.. ever."
You say, "I'm not familiar with this whole once time replacement thing."
You say, "You see, this is why I don't understand."
You say, "I could roll up a character."
You say, "On a free trial."
You say, "And get a rune staff."
You say, "Then cancel the trial."
You say, "Then I would probably be teleported for mechanics abuse."
You smirk.
Rex says, "I am offering you a chance to get the 4x runestaff back."
Rex says, "If you want to use your one chance."
Rex says, "But, most people save it for a loss of a real big item."

You say, "It's not a large request."
You say, "I just wanted the ability to bring what I thought was a non-consequential item back to something I'd had."

You say, "A rune staff."
You say, "Same as came off the turnip farm."

Arinshae just opened a large golden yellow pack.

You nod to Rex.
You say, "That Arinshae walked by with."
You say, "Except I had self enchanted it,"
You say, "Which I don't mind doin again."

Rex gestures and a shaft of scintillating light jumps out of the sky and engulfs him. When the light recedes Rex is no longer there.
A shaft of scintillating light suddenly jumps out of the sky and strikes the ground next to you. The beam of light then explodes in a shower of sparks and
