Many many years ago when I first started playing this game I remember hearing all the talk about spell durations. A little over 4 hours was the limit to which you could stack spells to but 3 hours was considered the typical spell up duration because (either by design or because of a bug) if you cast more than 4 hours worth of spells on someone it could lead to a problem where the durations "rolled over" and you ended up with only like 1 or 2 hours worth of spells. I think this happened when you logged off.
Was any of this ever true? Is it still true? Am I just crazy? I've never really followed up on this after I started playing again and just assumed this was still true, especially considering in the waggle script for lich there is a "stop casting at" option so you don't cast spells over this figure. I just assumed it was because of this, if you didn't want to risk rolling over your spell durations.
Anyone more knowledgeable than myself able to help me out here?
