The DVD sales were so high (1.5 million copies of season 1 and 2 I believe) and the cartoon network reruns have been so succesful it convinced Fox that they gave up on the series too soon and that if they brought it back it would have much higher ratings than before, now that word has gotten out about it.

I'll admit I didn't even watch it until the DVDs came out but now I love it!

Only problem is Trigun isnt all that good. I cant stand Anime that doesnt take itself seriously, yet tries to have super serious moments.

Family Guy is a great show. I look forward to the new episodes.

All kidding aside, though, Trigun's only (truly) serious moments are in the second season and the end of the first, which is based on a different manga, so Trigun is still infinitely awesome.
