I'm not expecting much activity on this topic..but...
Is there anyone (who reads this) that uses or has used a mini airbrush? I really want one, but I'm confused and a little paranoid to use one. Are they relatively easy to use? I'm tired of brush strokes on my figure models and I'm thinking it's time to make them look a little more professional.
I sound like a total nerd.
Anyway, if anyone has any advice, I'd appreciate it.

Seconded. Especially if they are WH40k.
I use one but it's a pain in my ass. It's super delicate. If you don't IMMEDIATELY clean it, the whole thing is fucked for as long as it takes you to soak various hoses free of dried gunk. If you pinch a hose and there's a build up for long enough, it's fucked. If you take it apart to clean it and lose track of a teeny, tiny part, it's fucked.
... that said, if you're meticulous about it, it's fun to use.
ETA: But it takes practice, of course, like anything.

Hmm... yeah, it does sound like a pain in the ass. I spray painted the skin part of my recent figure, which turned out decent enough... I think maybe for now I'll just stick to paint brushes. At least all I have to do is stick them in water and wipe them off. Even a tard like me can do that clean up!
If anyone seriously does want to see, I'll post a picture when I'm finished :) It isn't WH40k though. It's an anime figure. Sorry to disappoint! ;P

I only want to see it if it isn't WH40k.

True. No nerds, because everyone is a nerd, which makes no one a nerd. Or something like that.

You reach a hand to my quilt and you won't get it back...
...without nail polish on it.
